SO...we can't say what we "want" (more like desperately searching for) on the cancelled ADR thread so I thought I'd start a thread with 2 questions for folks who didn't start searching for ADR's until 1-2 months before their trip to WDW:

1. What's the 1 ADR you are hoping to get before you leave?

and

2. What's the 1 ADR that you got that you can't believe you actually found in such a short timeframe?

I'm sure a lot of the answers will be redundant but I thought it might be fun to share our woes and triumphs!!

My answers:
1. A Le Cellier lunch (I'm sure this will be a lot of people's answer)

2. 'Ohana! I got this one thanks to another Dis'er out there who cancelled...if you're reading this thanks again!

I love reading what everyone was able to get

It's like winning the lottery...but "normal" (non WDW obsessed) people don't understand how big a coup it is to get some of these ADR's on such short notice so they don't understand when you get all excited when you tell them. I'm planning for my parents and for awhile there I was calling them everyday with different options based on what I found and I think they thought I'd gone crazy!

I *GOT* a Le Cellier lunch for our Epcot day right after we finish the Segway tour.

I *WANT* a CRT dinner. I have an ADR for Tony's and that will be OK, but my sister and I were hoping to take the opportunity to eat in the Castle, since we both have 2 sons who will *never* want to eat there! (It's a no-kids trip.)

I have about 70 days or so, and I check probably twice per day.

I have this strange desire to brag to everyone I know that I got a CRT dinner for a party 8 just a few weeks before our trip during a free dining promotion.

What am I hoping for? I'm not even sure, maybe an earlier CRT or a 1900 Park fare dinner. I think I am set, but I still can't stop searching. It's very addicting.

STILL searching relentlessly for an earlier 1900PF dinner so I don't have to keep the kids up late. It has been 3 months and counting........

However, I feel incredibly lucky to have all that I do have - yeah for booking at 180 days!! Wish I would have thought about the earlier dinner then

As an update to this thread everyone - I just got my # 1 want!! Someone posted that they saw a Le Cellier lunch on the day I needed and I got it! So now I can say I'm shocked I got an Ohana and a Le Cellier lunch!

Hoping everyone gets their want before they leave!!

I am new to all this and had no idea how in demand they ressies can get. Leaving for Disney next week and only started looking last week. My only request was to find a character meal with Mickey.

1. Hope to get Chef Mickey for breakfast on my daughter's birthday. One was actually cancelled this morning by another member but it was no longer available when I tried reserving.

2. Happy to get Tusker House breakfast or Garden Grill dinner on different days. Still deciding which to take.

Hey - I just saw someone who's looking to see if anyone needs a Chef Mickey's on the September Cancelled ADR thread for 09/24...is that when you are there? It's for dinner though.

Also, you may have seen this tip already but try looking for reservations for more than what you need. For example, if there's 3 of you try and see if there are any ADRs for 4 or 5. I learned once that if someone cancels an ADR for say 5 people and you go on and try to get it for 3 it may not always come up. But if you look for 5 it will be there. I guess Disney trys to leave tables open for bigger parties? But what you can do is reserve it for 5 and then call the Disney Dining number and tell them you need to modify your reservation for just 3. They will modify it and you keep the same confirmation number and everything.

One time I saw someone cancel an ADR and I jumped on to get it and it didn't come up. I realized they cancelled for 5 and I was looking for 4. When I checked for 5 - there it was! So I called the dining line and that's what the CM did - she reserved it for me and then modified it for less.

I will be lost when we get back from this trip. Halloween, Christmas and birthday party planning aren't as fun for me at ressie hunting I know, I know I'm a weirdo.
