Wow, great trip report!! Thanks so much for sharing.

And I just have to contribute my praise for both Prince Charming - dreamy! and your girls - adorable!

I had a good laugh when I read the title of your report. In Eastern Massachusetts the "Golden Banana" is a famous male strip club! Not that I've ever been there but I've heard stories.
Thanks for a great report.

OH, MY!!! Dancing Golden Bananas, uh?
Those kind are probably worth more than .99, though! Depends on the size of the banana I guess? :teeth:

Wislodgers - Valet is free with the DDE card as long as you are eating at that resort. You're supposed to show your dinner receipt, but we were never asked. We just tipped coming and going. If you have an AP you can get the DDE card for $50.

jaysue - Hey, babe! :love2: I did get a pic with the prince, are you kidding me?!? I wouldn't pass that up! princess: Len didn't go with us this time. It was just me, my mom and the girls.

vettechick99 - Yep, he was a pretty hot prince! Len and I aren't going in October. We never booked that dining plan package deal. Oh, well. I hope you two have a blast! Did you decide on Universal?

THANKS EVERYONE for your nice comments!!! :goodvibes

Shan...thanks for the great report! I was also happy to see someone else posting a trip report this long! :)

BTW, we eat at the Rainforest Cafe every trip but go to the AK one. We've had very good experiences there, including this trip.

Thanks Granny!

Melody, I forgot to ask - How is Amelia doing? She sure is cute.

Thank you for the awesome trip report! We'll be at SSR in a few days and I'm wondering if we will like it. I don't think we will (we like being near everything), but we're only there for a few dyas before we cruise and we wanted to check it out.

Nice report Shan! That prince is to die for!!!!! And we watched Fantasy in the Sky from GF once and they did have the music. Maybe they have stopped it?

Did you get on Crusher N Gusher?

What direction is the Premium Outlet from DTD? Right or Left at the Crossroads?

Glad you had a great trip. Those girls must be disney experts!

Lenshanem-

Thanks for the info on the DDE. We have had our card since Feb, but we have always taken Disney transportation to wherever we are eating. On our trip last week, we packed up our vehicle and drove to Poly for one last breakfast before hitting the road home. DH asked if we should valet, and I said, "For $7 plus tips I would rather walk!" If I had known it would have only cost us a tip.......

Great report.

We went to SSR for one night whilst we were staying at the Holiday Inn International drive and obviously did not want to go back to the Holiday Inn!

We only stayed one night but walked to DTD twice. I find this location great.

Enjoyed the report Shan! So glad you guys had a pretty good trip. I'm sure that your girls knew that you weren't doing parks before you left, but did they do okay with it once you were actually at WDW? When we are on property, but not at one of the 4 major parks, DD5 always asks "when are we going to Disney World?" :confused3 I always tell her that we are at Disney, we just aren't at one of the big parks, but she never seems to get it!

kathleena, here's directions to the outlet from another website -

Orlando Premium Outlets are located at 8200 Vineland Avenue and are just beyond the large church. Coming from Walt Disney World, drive through Downtown Disney past the seven non-Disney hotels on Hotel Plaza and turn right onto Route 535 at Crossroads. At the first light after passing under I-4, turn left onto Vineland Avenue at Little Lake Bryan, and the outlets are just one mile down that road on your right.

It really is very close!
Nope, we didn't ride the new slides at TL. I was planning on taking DD7, but we had to leave earlier than planned due to the storm. Bugger!

ErinC, DD7 really wanted to go to Soarin since we haven't done that yet, but otherwise they were OK. I told them numerous times before we left and once there that this trip was a water parks only trip. I think I had more withdrawal than them! :teeth:

Great report! SSR is the last on our circut of DVC resorts and we are booked for the Wonder for September. I am trying to talk DH into staying at SSR the night before that cruise, for closeur... lol

I think your family would love HHI.... Maybe try for next summer?

:cool1:
Just have to say what a great report! Loved it, I felt like I was living through you!! I'm so glad you took your 4yr old to Cirque, I have been thinking my 4 yr old was too young - now I'll give it a try for sure. Thanks!

Enjoyed your report Shan ! Man....what is up with the banana thing though ??? ;)
Sounds like you had a fantastic trip except for maybe some weather woes. It's so nice to hear one can have fun without hitting the main parks. There really is alot to do in the WDW area. Loved the picture of your girls----they're adorable :flower:

GREAT trip report....HOT Prince :sunny: .... and we don't care for the Rain Forest Cafe either! :sad2: Your girls are very cute by the way!
