That Pirate Stole My Tiara: The Pre-Trip Report

Oh, and HEY! LURKERS! Join the party! C'mon! Let me hear ya!

Hip hop horaaaayyyy-hooooooo-heyyyyyyy-hoooooooo.

Sorry. Nasty 90's rap flashback right there.

See, the way I figure it is this. Y'all have got to be out there. Because so far, myself included, 36 amazing DISers have commented. (Yes, I counted. Don't judge. My ego needs a Band-Aid today.) And my report has had 3,836 'visits'. Which means either there are, in fact, lurkers out there. OR each of the 36 post-ers has visited 106.55555555555555 times.

Either way.

Please? Please won't you be? Please won't you be my neighbor? (NOOliveCardiganandSneaks)

Can I bribe you?

And to ALL of you reading, I try to return the favor and subscribe to any reports goin' on ('til the break of dawn) that are being written by my subscribers. And I have to say they're all good. So please use this PTR as the springboard to other PTRs.

For instance, after vouching she was DONE! with trippies for at least a little bit (which, in FL, apparently means a whole 10 days), Princess V has started another one. Check, check-check, checkherout.

Ok, I'm outtie. Before I make any more horribly bad rap references.

Consider it my gift to you.

:wizard:

Maybe, just maybe seeing your little hula weight loss girl tick lower and lower will motivate me to lose some. Actually I would just be happy with being able to walk in the World without wanting to collapse. DF and I went on a walk last night and suffice to say that I wouldn't have even made it to Cindy's Castle. Must improve! Bah.

I may have to steal your "be-winged" phrase. It's a nice way to think of it. I had to remind myself NOT to watch Animal Planet right before bed last night. Baaaaad idea.

Alright I went and checked her out. :scared1: Not in that way, and subscribed to her trip report. Are you feeling better now?

Know what's worse? The Sarah McLachlan commercial set to her tune "Angel". I cry every single time I see it. It's torture. I want to adopt every aminal she shows. As soon as I hear the opening chords, I usually say, "Oh no..." and the BF goes on a mad search for the clicker to change the channel.

And please take motivation from me! I'm all for helping people get healthy!

Awww. Yes. Thanks.
And I don't mean to be the trip-report-hawker-Nazi. I just want you all to feel comfortable saying, "Come visit my trippie, it's awesome!" and I want people to know that I think they're (collectively) great.

I have subscribed to your trippie, but have been slooooooowly wading throught the 51(!!!) pages. But I'll get there. I swear I will.

 Just saying Hi babes. My diet went by the wayside last week when I tried out a recipe for cinnamon rolls:faint: they are:cloud9: and I've made two batches already....I have a feeling an intervention is required:rotfl:

That is the worse! It's like a bad car accident though, you just can't take your eyes away. It makes me want to adopt every single stray animal out there. I have been meaning to tell you that I have feline children as well! I know you have mentioned yours in a previous post. I love my kitties! What are yours named? I think you mentioned that you have more than one.

I have been trying to focus on making healthier choices not so much the numbers but with all the stress lately I have been stress eating to the extreme. My mom just made my wedding dress though and there is no room to spare! :scared1:

WHY WHY WHY wasn't I born a Disney princess?

Firstly, that should SO be a tag. If the tag fairy ever visited us here on the trippie boards (DO they ever?? It seems like they don't...)

Secondly, I ask myself that ALL the time. I would WAY rather find myself trapped in a magical castle with a dashing beast and dancing cutlery than be stuck here studying for finals. :sad2: I mean, who wouldn't?? :confused3

I don't know about Tink, but I'm feeling a little exposed! :scared1: :rotfl: J/K - glad to have you on board!

Thanks for the plug Tink - that was very sweet!

Don't worry doll:goodvibes , the stress of a wedding burns nearly as many calories as a divorce (I know I've done both;) ....wedding twice:scared1: ) I put on weight just sniffing food and I also eat my feelings but I lost alot of weight before the big day(s) and so did everyone else I know. Try to relax a bit and enjoy 'cos it's a wonderful thing to marry your soul mate:lovestruc

Pillsbury makes reduced fat ones. Which I know is cheating. Because they come from a can. But seriously? Only 130 or 140 calories per bun. The can is sitting in my fridge. But I can hear it calling my name from here. I'm literally afraid to make them for fear I will eat ALL EIGHT BUNS in one sitting. The BF will come home to find me a sticky, FULL, icing-covered mess.

I have been meaning to tell you that I have feline children as well! I know you have mentioned yours in a previous post. I love my kitties! What are yours named? I think you mentioned that you have more than one.

I have two. Both girls. And you've inspired me to post about them. Since I don't have real children. Stay tuned.

I feel your pain, my dear. Truly.

My mom just made my wedding dress though and there is no room to spare! :scared1:

Ok, maybe not that pain.

Firstly, that should SO be a tag. If the tag fairy ever visited us here on the trippie boards (DO they ever?? It seems like they don't...)

I think they'd need to work OT if they hung out on these boards. But I agree, it would be a good tag. Alas, I remain tagless.

dancing cutlery

I'm in rare form this afternoon. This made me laugh hysterically.

The BF will come home to find me a sticky, FULL, icing-covered mess.

You never know he may actually enjoy that;) .

You see this is why you'll lose weight and I'll still resemble the Pilsbury Dough Boy, 'cos you are still resisting. I've just had a bit of lemon layer cake with my glass of wine and it complemented the fruit undertones so much that I snarffed down another slice...OOPS

I really wish we were going to be at the World at the same time.... You are SO much fun!! I'd have loved to have met you there!

I'm also trying to drop some excess "me" before our trip. I was all about the Pizza Abs program, remember?! In reality I'm following Paul McKenna's program and so far it's working great!:thumbsup2

Of course I'll toss it all out the window come Free Dining, but there will be time to get back on once we return home...:rolleyes1 I can stop eating when I feel full here at home, but toss a Zebra Dome in front of me at Boma and it's all over.

.

That's right! I'm NOT taking my kids to Disney! Bwahahahaha!
But that's mostly because they have fur.
And whiskers.
And they purr.
And they are not service aminals.

I present you with, my babies: Isabel (left) and Dory (right)

(We call this one, "Lasers, ACTIVATE!)

Dory is named after the fish of the same name because her memory is sparse. "What mommy? DON'T eat the brand new gerber daisies in the vase? Ok...(5 seconds pass)...munch, munch, munch...What do you mean I can't eat the brand new gerber daisies in the vase?"

They are sisters from the same litter. Dory was the only one in the litter to be black and white. The rest looked like Izzy. Dory has one double paw. We like to think she's left-handed because of it. She likes to use it to hit things, like her sister. Or her toy. Or the glass off the edge of the counter.

I call this Isabel's "disdainful" look. She's truly the DIVA. We get this look a lot.

This is what Dory does all day. So that she can be properly refreshed to harrass us all night.

Isn't she A-Dory-ball? Get it? Get it?...yeahhhh, movin' on.

So those are my babies. And BFs adopted babies. But they still have their mommy's last name. ;)

OR each of the 36 post-ers has visited 106.55555555555555 times.
:surfweb: Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Oh my goodness! I've never heard of that.
They're both too precious!

My goodness! I have myself one busy day and there's been a little flurry of action of here. Making up for lost time, eh? ;)

Congratulations on the weight loss. Any loss is good. I have been fluctating, but am happy feeling more muscely and less flabby in some areas, so at this point, it's all good.

I am totally with the pp who said throw a Zebra Dome in front of her and it's all over. Except for me its more like a Dole Whip. Or the junky apple at the Villian Candy Shop. And that Paul McKenna techinque does really work, don't know if you've heard of it, Tink.

I love your fur-babies. Since I can't have any, I'm going to live vicariously through you. Please feel free to post any of their antics, they are adorable. And I don't like all cats. As a matter of fact, I don't like most of them. But since you're my long lost sister, I say in all honesty, yours do look A-Dory-ble. :thumbsup2

Awww. Yes. Thanks.

:goodvibes Thanks. I'm enjoying writing it.

Your fur babies are adorable!!!! I have a boy and a girl. Sulley named after the monster, he was all spikey fur as a kitten and he has grown to live up to his name at a whopping 23 lbs last time he was weighed. I also have Ruby a.k.a. Ruby Doobie, she is almost a year. We got her because when I moved in with DF, Sulley missed my parents cats (that's where I used to live).

Yay for kitties!!

Scottish Princess, I have been through a divorce too (bah!) so the fact that I agreed to this wedding nonsense for a second time is beyond me. I am much more focused on the marriage instead of the hoopla of wedding-ness.

Awwww, such cute kitties! We have two -- Topaz (for her yellow eyes) and Bagheera (well, because I was teaching the Jungle Books at the time, and he's all black, and I am a Disney junkie and like to imitate Baloo and say, "C'mon ol' Baggie). They are spoiled rotten -- especially Bagheera because he's MY kittie, knows it, and uses it to his advantage.

Yea for the loss of 1.4 lbs!!!!:woohoo:

Any loss is a great loss! I know the pain of having to adjust that ticker. I was actually more than I had first weighed myself too. But I managed to drop 2 lbs this week, which made me happier. :)

That being said, this week, not so good. !#*& staff appreciation week. They keep showering us with food. Really cold hard cash would work just as well, or Disney dollars. Far be it for me to be inflexible. Really when they bring in people from Cold Stone Creamery to mix your ice cream for you, that's just mean. I just can't say no.

Congratulations again!!!!
