that panicky feeling when you get an email w/ subject line Trip Cancellation Notification!

Well, I am still early in my DVC journey but I'm batting a thousand with waitlist requests.

Booked a 1BD BWV pool/garden at the 7 month window for 6 nights over Thanksgiving and set a couple waitlists for the entirety of the trip. Got the email today about the trip cancellation and navigated to my dashboard as fast as I could to see which waitlist came through!

Shocked that we got a 2BD at CCV for all 6 nights!! Really excited to stay at CCV for the first time and wondering if we may get a refurbed room, though the existing rooms look fantastic so I'll not be disappointed if the room isn't refurbed. The other waitlist I had set was a 1BD resort view at Poly tower.

I've only been a member for two years now, and have had crazy waitlist luck. I know this is NOT the norm, but every trip we've taken has had a waitlist (for at least some or all of the nights of our trip) and we've gotten lucky every time.

Someone said this recently in another thread, but definitely had a twinge of sadness about not staying at BWV this trip. That's the great thing about DVC, so many awesome resorts!! But really looking forward to CCV, and our first stay in a 2BD!

Yay!! Congrats!! In November I think there high likelihood to get a refurbed room.

I have gotten that email and said some choice words out loud while my husband was driving and I was checking my email. Also raced over to my dashboard and saw my WL came though. My husband to me "yeah that was an overreaction"

I did wonder if maybe they are anticipating being behind schedule on the refurb and they released a block of rooms that previously had unavailable because of the refurb? But if that is the case, guessing we would have seen here on the boards about sudden availability at CCV. Maybe I just got lucky!

And ditto, said some choice words as well!! My husband has no clue how any of this works, but back when I made the waitlists I told him I thought there was a near zero chance of it filling, so that was a fun surprise to be able to share! He loves Wilderness Lodge!

I mentioned this on your thread about your next contract, but your thread watered the seed that was already planted in my mind about selling my SSR SAP points in favor of CCV ...glad to have a trip on the books here because I have a feeling it will help my decide! can't wait to see the Christmas decor!

I think that’s a smart move especially if the holidays at CCV are as amazing as I have heard about.
