That eBay Scandal I Saw Coming Is Here

Yes I am confused and also very worried.

Unfortunately, I had let 'UndercoverSpy' access my VMK account, which has now been stopped.

I worked really hard from the opening months of VMK to get some of the items I had on VMK, the others, shamefully came from UndercoverSpy.

We are not the same person, but good friends, she shared my acount and maybe that is why we are getting confused.

I personally, have been away from VMK for a long time, and only after the second week of me being back, does all this happen :-(.

I have written to VMK Staff explaining the situation and asking them to look into it. They also said I must change my password immediately. Which I did :-)

For those of you who have emailed me, and sent pictures of me and my family. Thank you! :-). But I am in no way connected to <name removed>!! unfortunately, there is no way to prove it :-(...

I doubt anyone on here would send you pictures of you and your family. That sounds more like a threat from an angry person who lost money. I'd be really scared if my friend got me into that kind of trouble. Remember that gamer from Shanghai who played Legend of Mir 3 and stole his friends sword and sold it? That guy got murdered. Over 7,200 yuan, which I think its about $72. Some of those ppl on ebay are kind of sleazy, too. You never know who you're dealing with.

The lessons I've learned from watching all this:

1. Buying stuff on ebay is not nearly as risky as selling stuff on ebay, since everyone who got ripped off was a seller, not a buyer.

2. Those prices on ebay do not necessarily reflect the values of items in VMK, since the more desirable stuff is often overpaid-for, because the buyer isn't paying real money. Inferno for $400? Sure, why not? $600? What the heck, let's do it! Some other putz is going to pay for it anyway! I don't know what this stuff would really sell for if the transaction is between two honest people.

3. If you are going to sell VMK stuff for cash, the only safe way to do it is to meet up at VMK in Disneyland or WDW. Let the buyer hold out the cash and enter the code right there in front of both buyer and seller. If it works, the seller walks off with the cash.

Of course, VMK might not want a long line of ppl doing that, lol.

Hmmm.
Im a little concerned today I was contacted by a random VMK Player saying 'you have been stealing from eBay'. I stood and just looked like @_@.
Apparently, this user got the whole room to report me?
I am fully aware of a VMK user who has participated in such activities but I personally have not used eBay, I am far too young, and wouldn't even be able to figure out if I was old enough.

It is a shame that things liek this happen, but one solution would be to stop selling on eBay, but some eBayers make tidy profits from selling on eBay.

Can anyone confirm whether or not I was one of these 'Stealers' because at the moment I am worried I am at the centre of a false accusation?
dont worry EBAY records can prove you are inocent

MODS: Is there a way I can forward these to you so you can check this guy out, including looking at IP addresses? It looks like he's bad, bad news. I don't know how to forward emails in the PM system, particularly where the emails were forwarded to me in the first place.

I apologize. I misunderstood the rules.

How do we deal, however, with the person who admitted above that he let a scammer use his account and that he "worked really hard from the opening months of VMK to get some of the items I had on VMK, the others, shamefully came from <a name that will probably be removed later if I say it>"? I'd like to tell that person that whatever he got, "shamefully", from <a name that will probably be removed later if I say it> he should GIVE BACK TO THE PEOPLE WHO GOT SCAMMED! :furious:

I just noticed that there are at least 3 other ebay buyers of VMK merchandise who have either scammed the sellers, or had their accounts hacked. I saw this from looking at feedback left by some of the more prolific sellers. I immediately assumed its the same guy, but the people who were feeding me information are keeping quiet about it. Something about a criminal investigation and lawyers and police telling them not to talk about it.

I've lost any temptation I had to sell VMK on ebay. At first, I was unsure whether you could be banned, but now it looks like there is nothing you can do to make sure you aren't scammed by a buyer.
