My parents 40th wedding anniversary is in November and they want to take their kids and grandchild with them to Disney World to celebrate. We fly out Thanksgiving Day. Returning the day before my birthday.

I've been to DW about a dozen times. This year though I will be single as an adult for the first time. I know I need to take my niece on the Dumbo ride at least once, but other than that and a few dinner with the family, I'm free to roam.

Any advice? I'm afraid I will be bored and lonely.

Oh, How I would love to take advantage and answer to no one!!

Enjoy the time with your family, but take time to do anything that interests you.

Last year I spent over 2 hours in The World of Disney Store and I had the best time. Why? because I was by myself!! I did alot of shopping, but even w/o that I would have been in heaven anyway. I got to look at everything.:cloud9:

Hop on a bus to the TTC or DD, or one of the Water parks and transfer to one of the Deluxe Resorts and take a little tour.
AK is awesome and I like the Boardwalk at night because there's extra activities .

Have Fun!!!

I love spending time with my wife and kids, but it is nice to tour world showcase alone without hearing how the rest of the family say they are bored every five minutes

I have done several solo trips and several with friends or family.

I have always enjoyed my solo trips tremendously........I actually did an all-resorts, no parks trip for 8 days two years ago and it was my best trip ever.
