Tell me, is it worth it? We're thinking about going for 8 nights in 2006 Sun/Sun over Thanksgiving week. Are the Christmas decorations up? How are the crowds? We had to go to 3 Thanksgiving dinners this year and want a break in 2006. Any thoughts would be appreciated. THANKS!

It was wonderful!!!! We used Tourguide Mike and as a result the longest wait was 30 min. By the Sunday after Thanksgiving all of the crowds had dwindled down even more. Osbourne Lights were up along with all of the decorations in all parks and the resorts. Also at the AK they were running their Holiday Parade. Speaking of parades they have an awesome one at MVMCP which should concide with your stay (The first one was the Sunday after Thanksgiving). My advice do it!

I agree. It is not a bad time to go, then again I have kids and are limited on my time frames. I will not remove my kids from school, so we love that time and have been twice. Avoid evening extra hours, but do mornings and then switch to another park. have fun

We went this year (05) and are booked for next year. We loved it. The crouds are a bit thick (in number and in ability to move :rotfl: ) but you can work around them. Our longest wait was 35 minutes for Test Track. Our longest wait to see a character (I have a 4 and 1 year old) was 15 minutes and during that time the characters took a break. Fast Pass the rides you want.

The decorations where great and where up.

Make ADR's, the Saturday we left there was a sign at MK at 10:00 AM saying "No Table Service are available". We had made ADR's for CRT for lunch so had no problems.

We went this year, and since I always love WDW, I loved it. But for DH, there were two major disappointments-first, it was really a "pre-Christmas" feel, no Thanksgiving (he kind of expected that, but was still disappointed). Second, it was too cool to lie around the pool (for us, anyways, not for lots of people) and downright chilly some nights. But the crowds weren't any problem.

Hi,

We just spent our first Thanksgiving in the "World" from Nov 19th through the 26th so the Sat. before through the Sat. after. We had a great time. The decorations are up and the MK all lit up for Christmas is great. Also, the Osborne Lights are outstanding.

We went last year and this year during Thanksgiving. We love it. We don't usually arrive until a night or two before, though. We were schueduled to go home on Monday the 28th, but my girls and I extended our stay to December 1 because we were having so much fun. :flower:

The weather is gorgeous, the decorations are up & pretty, the lights at MGM, Xmas around the world at Epcot and MVMCP are fun. I didn't think it was nearly as crowded this year as last. We had a lot of fun & would (hope to) do it again.

Happy planning,
