Well it seems like forever that we've been to WDW and my posts are fewer and far between here on the DIS. Lots have changed of the last few years. Kids getting older so we decided to sell half our ownership with college looming around the corner.

That being said, how are the crowd levels during Thanksgiving week? Don't mind a crowd but do not want to wait 2 hours to get on 1 ride either.

Thank you

I think it's at or near Summer busy. And frequent Christmas party's tend to greatly increase MK crowds on evenings with normal fireworks and/or evening EMH

But there's no reason to ever wait in 2+ hour lines, (and I've done July 4th and Christmas Day) if you book your FP+ 60 days out and have a decent touring plan (and watch ride wait times on the app)

There are no xmas parties during Thanksgiving week. Generally MK is open until midnight as well. With planning it's not that bad, you have to get to parks at open, use your fp wisely and get out of the park before it gets nuts.

We have been several times over Thanksgiving. It gets more crowded the closer you get to Thanksgiving. The last time we went was in 2015 so we could see the Osborne Lights one last time. I love going that week because of the Christmas decorations are up. :) I say go for it.

We always get there the Thursday or Friday before Thanksgiving so we can do a Christmas party.

It isn't as bad as NYE. Go early, take a break midday when park crowds are heaviest, and head back in the evening. Have a nice trip!

We're going for the first time during Thanksgiving this year. I booked at the 10 month mark and had no problems getting my home resort BWV. I'm not sure about the crowds, but hoping for the best!

We went for the first time for thanksgiving last year. It was crowded, but I was expecting it to be worse. I don't think it was much worse than Presidents Day Week (when we usually go) and we were able to get a lot done at night. Probably won't go again since it seems like airfare and hotels are significantly more then, but the crowds wouldn't keep me away. Beautiful weather too.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get Thanksgiving dinner? I am travelling with my adult children and grand children Thanksgiving week and staying at Old Key West. We are open to any restaurant. I was considering the California Grill. I can't seem to find many posts regarding whether restaurants have their standard menu, or do they offer Turkey and more traditional meals?

some places have a thanksgiving menu, some places don't. We ate at garden grove at swan/dolphin. It wasn't the best.

We have been to House of Blues for Thanksgiving twice and to Flying Fish once, will probably do House again next time.

ohana at poly..... its not traditional TG dinner but it is an awesome experience, especially if you haven't eaten there before.... we did that in 2013 for Thanksgiving and if we get to go back this year, hope to do the same!

We have done whispering Canyon cafe a few times , california grill ( offers a turkey dinner), mickey backyard barbecue and most recently 1900 park fare. All had fantastic Thanksgiving food!

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions. While I suspected that there might be some traditional turkey meals offered. I was glad to hear that the California Grill does offer that choice. you have me thinking though. I hadn't considered Ohana. It sounds intriguing. I may suggest to the family that we try Ohana and think outside of the box this trip. We have never eaten there so it might be interesting and I understand there is entertainment during the meal as well.
