Thanksgiving~eat out or in?

Do you and yours eat at home, at another family members place, or
at a restaurant??

My grandmother's house, every year. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.

Both I eat home. Then at my aunts's house for Thanksgiving because sje does not serve turkey at her house.

We're having 2 meals this year...since we'll be on our honeymoon on T-Day, we're gonna eat in Vegas...when we come home that Sunday, a big t-dinner at his mom's house

We dined at my gram's house. She makes the best turkey.

Usually with family. However, my entire family is going on vacation that week except for me, so I'll be dining alone.

Usually at our house, but last year we had celebrated twice and also had dinner at my cousin's house the day after Thanksgiving.

We always eat at home as DH has to work Thanksgiving. Hey it's double time and a half so no complaining from me. Thanksgiving and the day after pay for Christmas.

We always eat at home, and we have also eaten with DSD at DH's ex-wife's house, and eaten at my mother's house.

I once made the dire mistake of asking DH (then DBF) if he wanted me to make a Thanksgiving dinner. He said no. I asked him a few more times, and he always refused. So I didn't make Thanksgiving dinner. Sure enough, he's all sulky on Thanksgiving - because I didn't make him a Thanksgiving dinner!

I ended up making him a post-Thanksgiving dinner on DSD's birthday the next week!

So, no matter what other plans we may have, he always gets his own Thanksgiving dinner at home.

On Thanksgiving we eat out for my DH's family and then we eat at 3 other homes in the same day. We are very full by the time we get home. But I love the holidays and I can't wait, no matter how full and miserable I am by the time I drag myself through the door that day.

We do different things every year. When we stay home, I cook. When we go visit family, we either eat with them or go to a restaurant.

Until I moved to Michigan four years ago, Thanksgiving was at my house and I'd invite people who were at loose ends for the holiday. It was a lot of fun, particularly since I was 2000 miles away from family.

Now that I'm back in Michigan, my sister and I have a deal. She does Thanksgiving and I do Christmas. Dd's birthday is the week before T-giving so everybody comes up for her family party on the weekend before. That way I don't have to do 3 parties right in a row.

We always get together with extended family and have dinner (I live in an apartment, so it is at another family members house)

We once had a situation where all the families couldn't host for one reason or another (remodeling and stuff) so we went out to a resteraunt. To say it was a disaster is putting it lightly. Never again.

We always eat Thanksgiving dinner at home. One year, we were visiting my aunt who had moved to Ft. Myers, FL. She refused to cook, so we went out to a restaurant. It was horrible! Just didnt' feel like a holiday, and I felt bad that the waitress and cook had to work instead of spending the day with their families.
