In order to firm up our Thanksgiving dinner plans at Universal, my husband called Mythos directly. We do realize that we couldn't reserve until a month prior but we just wanted to find out if they were serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Well, the person who answered wasn't sure so he asked someone else (I think the manager) and stated that Mythos will NOT have a Thanksgiving meal. From my understanding, the restaurant has had a Thanksgiving dinner on the menu for the last couple of years...?

We've had Thanksgiving dinner at Mythos several times over the years (inlcuding last year) and it's wonderful! I can't believe they are not doing it this year. It is a one price (something very reasonable like $15.99 per adult) and included all the traditional Thanksgiving food (turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, veggies, etc). Not all you can eat, but we are typically stuffed by time we are done (typically we do it for Thanksgiving lunch).

Maybe I'll call back in a day two. Sometimes an answer depends on who you talk to. Hopefully if enough people call and ask, they may reconsider if in fact the restaurant wasn't planning on having the meal. Thanks for your reply.

That's probably a good idea and you're right...it depends on who you ask.

I decided to call Mythos again today. I asked if they were going to serve a thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving. The person who answered the phone said that they "were NOT" serving a thanksgiving meal. She said that the only restaurant serving it would be Confiscos. Can anyone tell me if Confiscos is any good?

Confisco's for us was just so-so , every time we have eaten there it has

just been average. have you thought about eating at one of the resorts?

we have had the buffet at PB- Trattoria- for Thanksgiving several times and

it is incredible.

Thanks for the info dsmom. The thing is that we are only going to be at US/IOA for one day...Thanksgiving. We really wanted to go to Mythos for dinner but since they're not serving a Thanksgiving meal there, and Confiscos is just so so, I'm not sure what we'll do. We wanted to get the most out of two parks and didn't want to leave for dinner.

The thing about Mytho's is during holidays,or any other time of the year, the head chef has the call of the menu-chefs special. It is'nt known till what he thinks will be the best for that day or holiday.I can almost promise they will be a Thanksgiving dinner/lunch at Mytho's this year.

Don't give up on Mytho's just yet..

Thanks! You know I was kind of thinking the same thing about Mythos. It's just that the person who I spoke to sounded so definite, saying..."We will not have a Thanksgiving meal...the only restaurant serving one will be Confiscos".

I don't know if this will be an option for you but...there are plenty of offsite places that will have Thanksgiving buffets but unfortunately the ads will not appear until a week or two before the holiday.

Metro...we plan on staying at the parks until closing to get the most out of them so we really didn't want to leave early for dinner.

That's fine...just a suggestion. Hope you can find something that will work for you.
