Thanksgiving Dinner Large Group

Planning a big family trip for this Thanksgiving. Right now we're looking at around 20 people total. While we aren't planning to eat together every night of our trip, we are definitely wanting to eat together for Thanksgiving night. I know that the Disney site will take such a group of 20 in the search filters, I'm worried about availability seeing as it is a popular night and we're larger than the average party. Has anyone had any experience with such a large group on Thanksgiving? What places should we steer clear from because they won't be able to accommodate our large group on such a hectic night? Any suggestions of place with good food and ample seating for our large party?

Can't really speak about Thanksgiving, but I have bookings for 20 at 'Ohana and Biergarten for April 3rd and 7th. There was no problem getting them on the first day my 180+ days opened up. I do know these restaurants are great for seating your whole party together. Some are not.

Agree with PP on Biergarten. We did Thanksgiving there with a group of 16. The big long tables make it feel like Thanksgiving and they already have a lot of Thanksgiving items on the menu. Plus it's so fun in there with the band. The kids loved the chicken dance.

I've been to both, I feel like Biergarten will appeal to more of the group, and I love the idea of all being seated together or at a bare minimum only being in two different groups rather than several. Are there any other options besides Biergarten and 'Ohana for a large group on Thanksgiving, just to have a few more options to present to my group before making ADRs?

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Ohana in 2015. We were a party of 15. I booked our ressie right at the 180 day mark and chose one of the earliest seatings. The food was great and it was perfect for our wide range of ages and tastes.

I would book 1st seating - it will be virtually impossible to set up 20 people together if you try to eat at 6-7pm...
