We're staying at Wilderness Lodge. Should we do Artist's Point or Whispering Canyon? Or should we go elsewhere?

Liberty Tree Tavern sounds like it would be fun, but MK on Thanksgiving Day? Sounds rough, crowd-wise.

Or what about Fort Wilderness - Hoop-De-Doo, Trail's End or perhaps the outdoor Thanksgiving buffet at the Pavilion?

Advice? Suggestions? Erudite bon mots?

Thanks much.

This past Thanksgiving we did go to MK first thing in the morning and got about 3 hours in and then left. It was not bad but the crowds were definitely piling in by 11 so we left. We had a wonderful dinner at Boma that early evening and then headed to DHS for the Osbourne Dancing Lights which are amazing.

Last year we did Crystal Palace in MK at about 5:30 P. We spent the whole day in the park. It wasn't bad early, but by lunch it was insane. There was a line to move down Main Street, literally no where to walk. You just had to wait for the people in front of you to take a few steps then you could take a few.

However, we made our ADR at Crystal Palace and when we came out about 2 hours later, the park was eerily deserted. It was actually spooky back around by the Swiss Family tree, nobody was in sight in either direction. We rode Jungle Cruise 4 times without getting off. It was crazy, same for Pirates and Space Mountain had nearly no wait. We rode SM twice without getting out of the car.

From noon to about 5:30 we took it easy. We had already been to MK twice before that trip and had done every ride in the joint. So we just relaxed, people watched, snacked, and walked around looking at stuff that we don't usually spend time on when we're busy trying to catch a FP time or ride a bunch.

I was all set to leave the park after supper and hit the hotel pool, but when we saw the place had cleared out while we were eatting, we just had a ball. Even the fireworks display was the least crowded of our 3 previous trips, but people did come in just for that I think, or so it seemed.
