Thanksgiving dinner and park closings

Ok- our plan is to go to either AK or DHS for most of Thanksgiving Day. We have dinner reservations at Crystal Palace at MK. Will we have a problem getting in MK? We are staying at POFQ~ so are disney guests. I know park closings due to capacity crowds are in phases... just curious as to other's experiences. We didn't want to go to MK until mid-afternoon- around 3 or 4. Do the crowds thin out by then or get worse? TIA!

In our experience the parks have thinned out mid afternoon due to little children needing naps parents needing a break and the heat. We were there for Christmas day and New Years Eve the parks closed completely due to capacity at 11 am. But they did open back up later in the day. Our plan is to be at the park all day for Thanksgiving. It is open until 12 am that day so it should thin out.

If a park is closed for capacity you will not be allowed in if you have an ADR. You are guaranteed into A park but it may not be the one you wanted.

Crowd levels are projected to be "only" an 8 on Thanksgiving, so I'd be surprised if there are any closings that day.
