Any ideas for dining for Thanksgiving? Also my dd will be celebrating her 10th b-day while on vacation. Can I request anything special to be done for her birthday?
We ate our Thanksgiving dinner at 1900 Park Fare last November. We had a 7:15 PS and didn't eat until around 9:30 and this was a buffet. They had over booked like you wouldn't believe. It was a horrible experience and with two kids and an angry husband it is one I don't want to repeat......ever again.
As far as her birthday, you can call in advance to request a cake, for which you will probably be charged about $10. Sometimes they'll throw in a cupcake and candle for free, but they don't have this option available at every restaurant. If you want a cake, be prepared to pay for it.
At every park you can get a butoon that says "It's My Birthday" at guest services that she can wear, no charge for that.
Basically don't expect WDW to do anything for it unless you contact them and pay for it in advance. You might want to take a look at The WDW Florist to order a gift basket for her that can be delivered to your room.
Adding my two cents here, my favorite Thanksgiving dinner at WDW was at Liberty Tree Tavern in MK. It's family style and the perfect menu (turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls, the works pretty much) for the holiday not too mention who wouldn't want to have Thanksgiving with Minnie and the gang?!
My boyfriend and I ate Thanksgiving dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table....not only was it romantic...but the food was DELICIOUS!! I wouls definately reccomment it!
