Ok I am starting to finalize my ADRs a bit more and I am torn by one ADR more then anything else...:headache:

I currently have an ADR for 1900 breakfast on thanksgiving day at like 930ish. I also have BOG ADR for dinner at 640 pm.. so currently Thanksgiving day looks like this for us:

0930 am- 1900 ADR
430 pm- BBB
640 pm- BOG

I am concerned that with Thanksgiving being an EMH morning I am giving that up for 1900 cause I dont think we can do anything productive in the park and still make the ADR at 1900. I want Thanksgiving day to be extra special and really want to do the breakfast at 1900, but maybe two TS meals in one day is to much and it would be better to just do BoG:confused3

I also have a pre-rope drop CP the next morning as a farwell breakfast before our half day in the park and we have another full MK day on the 23rd at the start of the trip.

Any advise... i dont want to hold on to an ADR that i am not going to use cause i know how hard they are to get... Thanks

Heading to the MK at 10:30-11 on Thanksgiving day will be mayhem. The park will be packed all day, but at that hour I don't know if I would want to deal with the headaches of making my way through the crowds at such a peak entry time. I would probably skip PF and take advantage of The EMH.

HMM I hadnt even thought about that.... that does add another level to this problem i have created... IF I keep the CP reservation the next morning the only people i am missing from 1900 are mary poppins and alice so maybe it is best to just drop the 1900.... so confused :confused3

To add to that... I have heard that MK usually closes to capacity on Thanksgiving Day & Christmas day so if being in the MK on Thanksgiving is important to you, I would make plans on getting there early and staying. :)
We will be there for the 1st time that week but I'm thinking that Thanksgiving Day will just be a relaxation day for us with a possible late afternoon in Epcot. If you do decide to cancel it please consider posting it on the November ADR cancellation board so hopefully a fellow Dis member can grab it. :thumbsup2

We looked at crowd calendars and there is NO WAY we will venture anywhere near MK on Thanksgiving Day! Crowds just aren't our thing & dealing with the crowds would just take all the magic out of it all. Our thanksgiving will be spent at the Animal Kingdom.

This is our first time going over Thanksgiving and I originally planned without looking at crowd calendars:sad2: and then quickly changed my plans which meant I had to give up some great ADRs to avoid the parks on their peak days, but again dealing with crowds just isn't my thing. I know WDW will be crowded regardless during our visit but the less crowds the better.

I too would cut out the 1900 ADR and get to MK ASAP or you risk it closing due to capacity, which would mean losing out on BBB and BOG. Just grab a light breakfast on the way to MK or grab a cinnamon roll for breakfast.

The crowds are really that scary for me in terms of the people in the park. The crowd calender I have lists MK at an 9 with AK at a 10, Epcot at an 8 and HS at an 7. Still managable. We have done Thanksgiving in the park before and it is what it is. The park is still magical. But ya'll are right about us needed to make sure we get into the park and dont get locked out. Thanks for the advice. I think I will hold on to it till FP play out then let it go ... :rotfl2: mostly likely.

And I will post it on here.
