I usually go in December, but went in Oct last year and feel like I have lost all the Disney in December info I had stored in my head.

So...

How bad are the crowds the Sunday after Thanksgiving? When does everyone go home? Do the Christmas decorations go up for Thanksgiving? I would like to get there Sunday after Thanksgiving but I don't want to miss out on the Christmas stuff.

Hi,
We were there last Thanksgiving and arrived the day after turkey day. All the decorations were up and the crowds were much better on Sunday. They were busy all week but not as heavy as some other times. It was our first time at this time of year so had nothing to compare the crowds to but I thought they were about they same as the week after Easter the year before when we were there. Be sure to see CP and MVMCP well worth the money in our opinion.

I am also looking for answers to those questions. We are thinking of coming the Monday after thanksgiving, but we are flexible. Are the crowds still busy the week after thanksgiving? Or should we wait till the next week? Does anyone know if there are schools out at this time or if there are any special events this year that would increase the crowds? Also does anyone have experience with flying after thanksgiving, would that Monday still be considered holiday travel, or do most people go home Sunday?
Thanks

I have been several times during the week right after Thanksgiving and it was wonderful, very low crowds and almost no waits for even popular rides...

I have never been over Thanksgiving weekend, we are arriving on sunday of Thanksgiving weekend this year and plan to hit the parks on monday. I had always heard that monday is very uncrowded as all the weekend people and Thanksgiving Week folks have gone...see ya there!!!

We go the week before Thanksgiving and that is when most of the decorations start going up. By the end of our stay mostly everything is decorated for X-mas. That's all I can help with, if it helped at all!!LOL;)
