Can any one tell me from past experience how difficult it is to book a 2 br during Thanksgiving week at OKW? We are thinking about going next year and want to know if we will have issues booking the room.

Also how crowded are the parks and DVC resorts during the week of thanksgiving? Are they busy only during the weekend or all week long? Since it is a busy period of only a few days, do the DVC resorts have enough staff on to handle the people?

I'd love to hear the answer to this also. We can only book at the 7 month window, so we're rather nervous about availability then.

Can't comment to availability as we own at OKW so we booked at the 11 mo window. I can tell you I didn't book day by day.

We arrived the Sat before Thanksgiving and left the Sat after. Sat - Mon wasn't bad. Tuesday was quite busy at AKL during the day. By noon all the fast passes for the safari were gone, and the line was over 60 minutes. That eve we went over to MK which was open until midnight. Wasn't quite so bad, arriving around 7 and stayed until closing. We were able to get quite a bit done.

Didn't go into any of the parks on Thanksgiving, and had dinner at Chef Mickey's. Quite an enjoyable meal. There were 12 of us so the variety of the buffet was much needed, especially with the kids.

Friday we did Epcot, again quite crowded. Had the dinner package for CP at Le Cellier - well worth the $$. In fact, for the $44/person, we came out ahead. I added up what my meal was and it was over $41 before tip.

Hope this helps. The resort appeared to be well staffed as were the parks. Can't say the same about the airports!
