Thanksgiving AND New Year's?! Whew! - Update 3/12 Pg. 17

According to my Vacation Countdown we have 8 days 14 Hours until we leave We better think about what to pack

I know, right! I'm so disappointed in myself for not having all of my stuff packed already!

So out of character for me.......

8 more sleeps!

Won't be much longer now. I have an agenda of things to do before departing.

1) Buy skin care products (just need to replace what I'm running low on)

2) Buy a new hair straightener. Mine's kind of conked out, so got to replace it. I am a weirdo about my hair, so I can't go to Disney without my hair supplies.

3) Get manicure and pedicure. I seriously need one. They're in such bad shape. It's cold here, so it's no wonder.

Not many things to do. Oh yeah, and pack! Duh, can't forget packing.

4 more sleeps and we are on our way. I hope we won't have too many issues at the airport with pat downs or body scans.
Sure makes flying a lot harder now.

So I have faxed the resort with my room requests! That makes it feel much closer!

I asked for a room in the 60's on the first or second floor (since, as you all remember, mom is afraid of heights). Hopefully they can accomodate them. If not, oh well, it's still Disney. I don't sweat those kinds of things.

Up next for the weekend, packing!

I am so disappointed in myself, you have no idea. Normally, I'm pretty well packed two weeks before I depart for a trip. I have been so busy, I just haven't been able to. I hate feeling rushed to pack, I really do. It makes me feel like inevitably I am going to forget something. Cross your fingers that I don't! (At least that I don't forget the spackle and paint that makes me look presentable every day! )

Oh No!! You can't get sick before you leave!!!! If you think you need meds, go now so you don't have to fight Centra Care down there!!! My friend had to do that in Oct and it took only an hour but she had to pay a higher co-pay than if she would have just gone at home!!!

Yay for the room request! I called one in for 70s section, buildings 10 or 6. Not sure if they were put in though because she took the ressie number and then asked for my one for WL but didn't ask for that ressie number and when I asked her if she needed it, she said no (even though they are AP ressie and Free Dining) so I guess unless they are linked by last name or address..I doubt my request was put in! But like you said, it's Disney, I'm not going to sweat it, it will work out one way or another!

I figure I will just go with the flow with the request. The biggest thing for me is being on the 1st or 2nd floor because of my mom's fear of heights. Other then that, I truly don't care that much.

Fortunately, I'm feeling better today. I don't know what was going on yesterday, but today the pain has lessened. I've been sick in Disney before, and it is so not fun!

I know, I can't wait. The clock is just ticking slowly now. I'm feeling better now, but I was really nervous yesterday that I was really going to get sick. I'm not as worried now though. Only three more days!

I'm sure I'm under 50 pounds too. However, it always begs the question: Do you really need that much stuff for a 3 day trip?.....Yes, yes I do!
