We (DW, DD [16], me and hopefully DS if he can swing the leave time) will be arriving at Long Beach airport early Sunday, November 22nd and leaving the evening Black Friday. We're staying at the Hilton Anaheim and planning on getting 5 day park hoppers. We were kind of thinking about renting a car for a day and doing San Diego and the San Diego Zoo for a "Day 6". What other adventures can we get into in the Anaheim area? I was thinking about doing one of the many Turkey Trots in the area on Thanksgiving morning too. Any recommendations which is the most fun? Also looking for recommendations for Thanksgiving dinner?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Cheers
Craig

The Thanksgiving buffet at the DLH is very popular and lots of fun. Be sure to make your reservations early if you choose this option.

I would recommend doing the other activities earlier in the week. We have been a couple of times Thanksgiving week the last few years and the crowds actually get better later in the week (still crowded). T-day can be pretty decent early and late, black Friday and Saturday felt like normal weekends to us. We have done Storytellers and Ralph Brennan's for T-day dinner, both were great. Brennan's had turkey several different ways. Last time we did Universal on a Monday and it was not busy at all.
