we booked a cruise for thanksgiving 2005. wondering what special happenings will be going on to celebrate the holiday. if you have been on a thanksgiving cruise , would like to hear from you. thanks
We did the Thanksgiving 2003 Magic Cruise and loved it! They decorate the ship and CC for the holidays, so it's very festive and looks great.
I'm not sure about '05, but on our cruise and the one this year, they skip Key West due to a boat regatta and visit CC twice. The first time, the island looks as it normally does. The second visit, which was the day after Thanksgiving, CC had the Christmas decorations going. Way cool!
As Thursday night was lobster night, they pushed that off and served a typical Thanksgiving meal, which was kind of disapointing. Of course, there were other offerings as well. They served lobster the next day as a bar-b-que offering at CC. I thought this worked out well.
Thanksgivng wasn't very "Thanksgivingie", but it was a wonderful family vacation.

Yes, It's true!!! We are booked on the Thanksgiving 2005 cruise which the agent called an "alternate" itinerary due to the additional stop at CC. Our confirmation sheet also indicates second stop at CC due to Port of Key West being closed. Can't wait!!!
There is a thread going on the cruise meets board if you are interested!!!
