I just wanted to thank several chefs at Disney. I have to have a wheat free diet and was worried about how to do it. It turned out easier than I thought. At each of the restarants I would inform them the day before that I was coming in and needed a wheat free diet. Then I would inform them at the podium when we checked in. The only one I didn't do that to was at Pop Century's food court. There I just asked for a chef. So Thanks to
Mitchell at the Pop Century's food court who came out and talked to me and then made me a really great dinner of grilled chicken with grilled vegetables with marinara sauce. It was fresh and so good. He came out after to see if it was all right. What service.
Rob at Boma's who when we found out that there was very little I could eat at the buffet made me this incredable dinner that was the envy of every one around me. It was sirloin strips with grilled vegetables with a sauce. I didn't starve that night either. As well he had a flourless chocolate cake ready for my desert.
Tom at Hollywood and Vine who took the time to show me around the buffet, go a couple of rice rolls ready for me and presented me with a wheat free brownie for desert.
Allen at Chef Mickeys who again made sure there were a couple of rice rolls and the brownie. He also made some potato pasta that was good but would have been better if there had been some sauce on it, and I had been feeling a little better.
Also, I didn't get the name of the chef at the Crystal Palace who also came out and showed the buffet with me and made sure I had a wheat free brownie for desert.
At La Cellier it was a little easier because you could see the things that are wheat free although at first the waitress didn't seem to grasp the concept of wheat free. Things had flour in it but not wheat?????? The chef did make sure that the desert I ordered had wheat free cookie things on mine so it worked out okay.
