With those news topics circulating the past few weeks its been a rough time for the Disney brand but they are all meaningless compared to the pain being felt by those who have lost loved ones this week.

We all need to Wish Upon a Star for peace and comfort to all who have lost a spouse, a brother, a sister, a parent and a child this week and remind ourselves what truly matters in this life.

I think Epcot dropped the "Center" in '94 and dropped the year after Epcot in '96. A lot of people still say Epcot Center because they're used to saying that. And it's always just called Walt Disney World, mentioning Epcot is redundant. Still shouldn't have got past the editor unnoticed

We get brochures from a bus/touring company that still calls it Epcot center. Drives me crazy!!!!

I do not consider CNN a credible new source for anything theme park related. Or half the other stuff they cover for that matter.

It's not that the reporter called it "Epcot Center." (That's just a bit of minutia that mostly true "Disney folk" would take note of.)

But, back in 1982 (and for a few years after that) Disney referred to WDW as "Walt Disney World and EPCOT Center."
But, that designation has long, long ago been dropped.
I'm trying to figure out how it got resurrected today, out of (as far as I can tell) "nowhere."
