I remember when I was in the Marine Corps he would visit the troops quite often. He was a very giving person, it shows you that you can never judge a book by its cover. We often are rude or quick with people for many reasons, life sometimes gets in the way of being friendly. I know that I will start slowing down and showing appreciation more, you never know who you are entertaining...

I am so blessed to have seen him in person at the 2009 D23 Expo when he accepted his well deserved Disney Legends award-his speech was so terrific- which you can view on You Tube.

I am so thankful for the joy and laughter he gave us.

I am so sad that such a wonderful light in the world has gone out. Depression and addiction are serious diseases and so difficult to treat. If you are reading this and you suffer from either, please reach out for help!

And if you're reading this and you suspect someone in your life is suffering for either, reach out to your loved one! Do not feel like you are being intrusive or pushy. It pains me so much to know that some people suffer in silence and feel like death is the only solution.

This is truly a tragedy. He was a very gifted talent and a comedy genius. So sad he couldn't embrace all the love and respect people had for him, but depression is a serious disease and hopefully his passing will bring it to the forefront.

He will be missed -- I've "known" him all my adult life -- all the way back to Mork & Mindy. My sympathies go out to his wife and children, and all those who loved and cherished him
