She had it done yesterday, and was sent home today. we went to see her last night, I will say, she didnt look so hot and was in and out of it, however at 11:15 this am she called me from her cell to say she was on her way home. She was feeling ok!!! Anyway, I spent some time at her house helping to get settled. She was in dire need of good food so we took her to dinner and she wanted to pick up a few loose shirts to wear. Her DS has a show at school tomorrow and she feels she may be able to go. She looked pretty tired when we dropped her off though. Her DH has to go back to work tomorrow as we all just got back from the world a week ago. Im just afraid she will over do it! Its just all so crazy! \

But thanks for your support, I knew not much of this disease but you learn very quickly!! We have both been displaying pink ribbons for the last few weeks!

I'm so glad she did well. I amazes me how fast they send people home. When I had my mastectomy 20 years ago, they kept me in the hospital for five days.

I had a breast reduction done many years ago and I can't imagine being sent home so quickly! I was pretty flakey for about a week, just from the pain. LOL

I'll bet your friend is gonna tucker out real fast...but it seems like you're very aware of when that starts to happen to her. Again, you sound like such a great supportive friend. I'm sure she appreciates you very much!

Hope she heals/recovers quickly. :)
Keeping those prayers going for her too.

I did miss your thread on this from Tuesday, Tink, but did search it just now and read it. You are so correct in how quickly you learn so much when so close. My very best for your friend, time will help. She'll ache for a time for sure. Is there any idea of any follow up, chemo or radiation or anuthing else? My prayers for a full recovery and a long lifetime of complete remission. Sure wish a cure was there.

They are waiting on the results from pathology first to determine the route of chemo she will have. It is pretty definate she will have it though.

She was worried about her kids reaction, and in my opinion, her 9yo DD will learn from this and someday be a very supportive friend to someone in need. You know, us girls stick together!!

And yes they no longer keep you in the hospital for nuttin!! She is getting a visisting nurse though, thankfully.

I cringed watching her move today, I even offered to help in the potty if need be, but thankfully, she managed! :scared: Hey im a good friend but I havent had to potty anyone above 3years old!!

Im sure she will feel lousy soon, shes pushing to much, doenst want the kids to feel any different because of this. I have to even remind her to put her purse in her other hand.

I so feel for all of you out there who have had this done!! :grouphug:
