Thanks for the Upromise tip

Thanks for everyone who posted about Upromise. I joined and have earned a few dollars.

One big thing for me was that I had 40,000 American miles I had accumulated w/o ever flying American. They have few flights were I live, the discount airlines are cheaper, and I do my other flying on United. These were stranded miles for me, but I was able to transfer them to Upromise and get $200. I know this isn't the greatest value, but better for me than leaving them there until the next devaluation.

Iwould love to do this with some American miles I won't use. Could you tell me how you did it.

Go to the upromise webpage and login. Then click on the travel tag at the top. You can then click on the American logo and then the redeem now link. You need to have 10,000 miles to make the first transfer for $50.
