I've been lurking on these boards for a while and must say that I have gotten lots of great ideas here.

We are leaving 3 weeks from today (me, hubby, 5yo son and 2 yo son). We tried our usual to get grandparents to come but it didn't work out. Thanks to these boards we decided to stay longer than we ever have (8nts). We also have a crazy schedule. 1st nt AsMo (originally getting in at midnite and didn't want to spend x $, also 5yo having Toy Story party in Aug), BWI for 2 nights (always wanted to stay here--always considered myself more of the elegant hotel type), then poly lvc for 3 nts, then akl concierge for 2 nts.

Stayed at GF concierge for honeymoon and loved it! Stayed reg room w/parents 2 years ago and hotel great --cm's below average--especially since we were back celebrating our anniversary and parents 20th. That's when we decided to branch out. Hence the BWI.

After reading these boards and finding tikiman's site decided on Poly (must admit that on honeymoon never saw the appeal but I may have been converted--so far things have been wonderful) Same goes for the akl but when Sue called me a few days after our booking, we were really impressed and even more excited.

Now for my dilemma (not that anything involving planning a wonderful vacation to disney should be classified as a dilemma!) My dad called from Reno last night and he will be in New Orleans for business the week we are there. He wants to drop off my 12 year old stepbrother for a couple of days and then join us for a couple of days. What should I do about resorts? I was thinking of just staying Poly but I thought brother might like BW area and he might get bored with poly--they just got back from Hawaii recently. Amazingly enough, after calling every day trying to get our third night at ap rate instead of AAA ($70 less!) they not only had our night Fri 6/11 but a second LVC for Thurs 10th-Sun 14th at ap! Of course I have it on hold but don't know what to do. I thought I was done messing with ressies but need help.

Also, what things --especially dining would be good for 12 yo easily bored boy? Sorry so long but I know you guys can help!

Would he like the antics at 50s Prime Time? Disney Quest is always good for those who love video games. My son's favorite is Stormalong Bay, but he might like the Volcano Pool at the Poly. Just remember that being 12 it's his job to be bored with everything, and NOT your job to make it better.

Forgot to add my 15 year old loved the CMs and the night vision goggles at AKL. Even in my opinion the AKL pool and slide are wimpy, but the animals are terrific. Everyone in my family loves Boma and of course the zebra domes--maybe that will cut through the 12 year old boredom.
