I just got back with my students from the FBLA convention in Anaheim. Thanks to your advice and suggestions, my young lady in a wheelchair had the time of her life!
I think we turned her into a coaster nut!
DL and DCA did a great job of providing information and had unlimited patience as we loaded and unloaded her from the rides. IMO, the access to the newer rides is awesome, but this was my first time with someone in my party using them. We made extensive use of the Disabilities Guide. It was very helpful. The only downer was that the wheelchair viewing area for Fantasmic was not the greatest view. We went back the next night and got a much better spot.
Again, thanks for all your help. My eyes have be opened as to the challenges that face those in wheelchairs (and their families) as well as a new appreciation for what has been done to improve access to and use of facilities.
