Hi Annie! It was just amazing when they said there was the 15 off of points offer and showed us our monthly payments. They were better than we had expected them to be. So when the guide left the room DH said "let's do it." We both feel like naturally, we wished we had done it sooner BUT we were certainly not in the right place financially to do it. It now feels really good to know we'll be there every year, most likely, and don't have to rush at any time to see everything. We'll be back.

The cruise? Well, let me put it this way, Disney and the CMs did everything RIGHT. I can't say enough about our servers Deniz and Zoe, and Dragen in Palo as well as the concierge Mike. They couldn't have been better in any way.
My toddler was, well, himself. A pill the entire time. My DH and oldest son saw Disney Dreams but I didn't see any shows. We didn't get off at Nassau and CC was a bust for our kids and thusly for us. But again. NO fault of Disney there. Well, taking a snorkeling group into really choppy water when there was clearly smoother water elsewhere might have been better. Our DS as well as 3 other kids on that excursion wouldn't get in the water.
But let me addendum that by waying I LOVED shopping on CC. they had better things IMO than the ship.

We did manage to get in 2 Palo meals which we loved. Dragen was a phenomenal waiter! I crammed in 1 facial and DH and I saw a movie the last night. BUT, that was it. Not a single character picture, nothing else. I just spent most of my time trying to attend to him. Or keep him from bugging others.

I am not sure if we are cruise people. Many of the activities just didn't appeal to us. BUT it could just be our mindset at the time too. I would like to give it another chance in 3 to 5 years when the youngest is older. Of course, that means we'll have a teen that might not want to go, BUT we'll see.

So anyway! back to DVC, I look forward to mail resuming today! I hope my packet is in there from DVC. I have to call today to bank my 2008 points. I'm looking forward to going home.

Sorry you didn't love love love your cruise. (Was it a 7 nighter or one of the Wonder 3/4??) We have to get away from the port in Nassau as it's skeeevy but we loved CC. We booked too many things to do there tho (we did back-to-backs & had a double dip on our 4 nighter so we were there 3x). Next time I would make a day to just chill on the beach. We have snorkeled in a lot of places. Calmer water is definitely better but that's not always the case. We went once on St. John when it was VERY choppy & once on Maui when there was a lot of chop. If you did the Seahorse Catamaran they probably went to where the reef was. My guess is that going somewhere else may not have offered anything to see.

Believe me, I already have a bead on getting a SSR resale and well, SEEING the BLT models changed my mind on that resort. I want in there too. But first, I need to finish paying my deposit!

Did you purchase on the cruise or before? I went to the DVC presentation on the sea day and wondered if you were there. After sitting through the presentation a woman from FL had some questions and I left without finding out the pricing for add-ons for the VCG. Darn.

Nope, it started on on that super note that day, and went downhill. None of it Disney's fault though. Okay, Chef M's has tanked, but other than that.

We purchased on land because they said we could check w/ the cruise DVC people and if they had a better deal, they would honor that and rewrite the contract. Turned out the cruise deal was identical. Good thing too because I never was able to get to a presentation.
