I was struggling during the first mile of the RFTT, as that is always my difficult mile.
(The ol' shins always act up!)
I felt a light tap on my shoulder and saw a lime green WISH shirt worn by a very nice, caring woman, who offered words of encouragement to keep me motivated and moving toward the finish line. I want to thank this person, as her words stayed with me.
It was so uplifting to know that someone would take time from their race to speak those kind, encouraging words to a stranger.
I sincerely thank you!
And I did finish my first 10K!
