Thanks again everyone for the kind words. I had a blast getting to know the park on the other side of the country.

It was VERY hard because I kept comparing things to Disneyland. There were some things that were definitely better than anything offered in CA (like Expedition Everest...BEST RIDE EVER) and things that were a little lacking compared to the West Coast (Tiki Room-under new management! WORSE THING EVER)

A few of my favorite moments from my trip! (the actual marathon pics are on my disposable camera from Disney that I had to send in to get developed).

The castle is gorgeous at night. What they do with the changing colors is breathtaking. Glad I got to see the Holiday overlay as well. The crane went up on my last day there to start taking things down.

Love that the characters are everywhere in the Magic Kingdom. meet up with Chip and Dale as soon as I walked in the park.

The Celebrate parade was OK. I actually liked Celebrate! A Street Party at Disneyland a little better. But it was nice to have a "real" parade to see.

And I think I am getting old, because Peter looked so young!

The dreams come true show was fun to watch....

and had some great sights...

but it closed up the walk through for most of the day.

After the marathon, all of the CM's were great about commenting on the medals and offering their congratulations. During the race, the CM's in the park were great. Even though it was cold and windy.

I do have to give special props to the ones working at Hollywood Studios on Sunday. They had some of the most creative noise makers on the route. Loved the group with the pots and pans and spatulas and spoons.

THANKS! Those are my most favorite shoes ever. I wore then for the Disneyland Half Marathon last year. Unfortunately they were the special edition color and style for the 25th Anniversary of the Nike Pegasus, and we do not make them anymore. I just used my last pair of that shoe (in gray and navy) to run the marathon. Time to start looking for something new. Hopefully we come out with something as cool and comfortable.

I finally got my pics back from the run...

Yes, it was cold. I was cold. Had 5 layers on at that point! My neckwarmers were $1.49 stocking caps from Walgreens that I cut the top off of to make into a neckwarmer/headband.

No princesses when I went by the Castle. I told him that was OK because I thought he was hotter than any princess! HAHAHAHAHA He just smiled!

I love me some Louie!!!

I may actually get to meet Mike next year since I know what the heck I am doing now! Sorry I missed ya this time...it was all kinda a blur. Plus I never even made it to Epcot.

Congrats on the race. I have thought about walking the 1/2 next year, I need to start training! I LOVE the castle picture. Everything is there, a few people, the blue sky, the refection in the pond. Great composition to me.

And as far as the half...DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! It was amazing even if it was cold. And if you are not already on the WISH boards, stop on down and check things out. They are almost as cool as the people on this board (hahahahaha) and are amazing when it comes to motivation and ideas and support and all that stuff!
