So I am sitting here in my hotel room in my pajamas with my medal around my neck eating licorice, drinking diet moutain dew, and watching August Rush. I finally feel warm and relaxed, even if I have been icing my knees for the last 4 hours.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone for all of you help and suggestions and messages and best wishes and answers to my newbie questions. This trip has been incredible even though it was FREAKIN COLD at the start of the marathon this morning. Hopefully I can end things right tomorrow night by sitting on mainstreet and watching Wishes light up the sky. Should be a perfect way to end a magical weekend.

Can't wait to get back again.

Congrats on the medal! Make sure to post pics when you can!

Congrats!

I've been a volunteer in the past handing out water during the marathon. I'm definitely interested in running it someday!

I can imagine the cold threw off a lot of runner's expected finish times. Hope you warm up!

An amazing feat! Hope your knee is much improved tomorrow so your day is all you look forward too.

Kathleen

Congratulations to you! What a COLD day to run (and Saturday)!

Hope you are watching Wishes!

Take care now and good luck with the knees.

maybe next year you can try to be a little Goofy.

How was your finishing time??? I've seen several people in the past few days walking around with their medals, like it's an honor. But I haven't seen a Goofy runner yet.

Anyone who finishes a marathon, let alone in this weather, should wear their medal like it is an honor! :thumbsup2

What was yours?

Just finishing any race is an acomplishment.
One to be celebrated!

ohh i know it is. There's no way I could run a race like that. In high school I used to be able to run a few miles cause I was in the colorguard... but not now.

We are so proud of you!!! :cool1: :cool1::cool1:

Congratulations! :thumbsup2 I can't imagine running a marathon and definitely not in that weather.

Thanks Pat. Congrats to you on the Goofy. That is just amazing. My run did not go as well as I had hoped. So part of me wants to enjoy the fact that I survived it. And part of me says "screw this...I can do much better and conquer it". We'll see how it goes. I have a couple half's to worry about first. Can't wait to get my hands on that Coast to Coast.
