Disers,

I just arrived home from the most magical trip I have ever had! I know that my trip would not have been half as amazing if I didn't have all of you guiding my way!!

So,

THANK YOU SO MUCH!~!~!

I'm already trying to plan another trip! (Yeah, I've caught the bug!!)

So glad you had a great trip! Don't forget to post a trip report. It doesn't have to be big, just an overview. Tell us your favorite memories.

Woo hoo!:woohoo: That's what I like to hear (and experience for myself) - a trip to DLR that went even better than planned and exceeded expectations!! Too often we hear stories where that is not the case. I can't wait for your Trip Report and PICTURES!!!!!:cool1: :cool1:

hehe, yeah the photos might be a problem considering I don't know what I'm doing in that department!

:) Happy to hear you had a wonderful time. It doesnt take much to catch the bug. Glad to have another park fan to add to the group. Welcome to the Disneyland Disboard rehab clinic.

Just watch out for the dreaded DSE (Disney Snowball Effect) Syndrome - where you find yourself scheming to get back to DLR as soon as you can and adding more days to the trip and more nights to the hotel stays and buying Annual Passes, etc. It is a sneaky addiction, that DSE. And, of course, here on DISboards we support your addiction and not your recovery!;)

I, myself, am a proud member of DSE Addicts AnonyMOUSE, where there is no help in sight!!

I'm already trying to scheme my way back, I have explained to my parents that when I graduate (Which fingers crossed will be in June or July) I want to go back with my family! And maybe my nieces because they're so darn cute and I would really like to see how different of an experience DL would be with a 5 and 3 year old attached to me!

I bought them the hat ears because their dad is so set on NOT taking them to DL until they're older. (I'll have pictures up on my TR) So naturally being the awesome person I am, I've already put the bug in their ears. I get to give them their hats tomorrow, I can't wait to see the looks on their faces! They're so infatuated with Disney right now (everything is Disney Cars or Dora)

I guess while I was gone their dad went to go buy a television from my brother who works in electronics and he asked the youngest what if she knew where I was, Little Lauryn replied "I don't want to talk about it! Daddy, I want to go to DL, when do I get to go?"
Daddy's reply "Never" :rotfl2:

Hmm, I'll see about that one! :rolleyes1

Ooooohhhh...Ouch...."Never," he told your niece when she asked when she could go to DL? Hmmm. Why do I get the feeling that Daddy is not a big fan of Disneyland in general and doesn't want to have to deal with the hassle of going? Or is it just a financial issue (which is no small thing - DLR is not cheap)? In any case, I am glad you are stepping in to help get the (Snow)ball rolling and planting seeds in their minds so they can bug Daddy about DL!!! I think every child should get to experience DLR at least once in their lives, though I know many will never be able to.

Once kids get hold of a souvenir that came from Disneyland, they instantly want to go. My friend who lives in another state has two boys - one of them is almost 9 and the other is almost 6. They have never been to DLR at all. I keep telling my friend that he NEEDS to take them to DLR or to WDW while they are still young but he can't do it because of money issues (and also because he is miserable and totally NOT fun at all, but that's a whole other story)!!! I actually think my friend would probably loudly veto the idea if someone else offered to take these kids to see Mickey, because he would want to be there to experience it with them and he wouldn't be able to get the time away from work to do it, and therefore, nobody else would be allowed to go. So I once offered to buy some little souvenirs or knick-knacks from DLR to send to my friend so he could give them to his boys - you know, just some little Cars things or Buzz Lightyear doodads or whatever - and my friend said NO because he didn't want to plant the Disneyland seed in their minds and have them begging to go. I was annoyed with him but they're his kids so I have no say in the matter and can't do a darn thing about it except roll my eyes and think of how sad it is that those kids will probably never get to see DLR or WDW - while they are still kids, that is - if my friend has anything to do with it.

He just wants to wait until the girls are older, it's just his scarcastic personality coming though!
