I was watching i believe it was last weeks Dis unplugged video on YouTube and it was the part about how they all came to be the team you see now. Towards the end Pete was talking about how he pick himself up from his addictions and made himself into successful person he is today. He was obviously emotional about it as anyone would be, and i took from it how strong of a person he is and also he said and i am paraphrasing here, follow your passions and dreams and the rest will take of itself. So i sat there after watching the video and i am going to school for culinary arts but i am doing security for a job right now but i know i want to cook and become a chef and open my own place someday. That night i applied at a restaurant that i have wanted to work for but was to afraid to change because i have been doing security for 3 years and was afraid about what happens if this doesn't work out, i would have no money coming in or health insurance. But i went to the interview and nailed it and the Chef offered me the job right there, it caught me off guard and then doubt started to creep i was afraid to take it right there because what if i couldn't do it or wasn't as good as i thought i was at cooking. But i stepped back for a second and remembered what Pete said about follow your passions, so i said yes right there and i am starting next week. So i wanted to say thank you Pete your words and story helped me realize i need to do what i want to do and take a chance, hopefully someday ill be in Orlando cooking a Citricos (because i know it's one of our favorite restaurants) and cooking your meal and be able to thank you in person.

Thanks for sharing your story. It was very powerful and demonstrates why we should follow our passion. I too thought this particular episode was outstanding for each sharing how Disney brought them together and enabled them to overcome or better themselves. It pays tribute to what Walt Disney viewed of the world and it just wasn't to create a park filled with rides.
