I heard about GKTW from your podcast which I listen too religiously while I work out. I had looked it up and was very impressed with the place so on when planning our lastest 10 day adventure I mentioned it to my 13year old daughter asking her what she thought of volunteering. SHe jumped at the chance and was upset when I thought I might have to cancel our time there. I am so glad that I did not have to cancel because it was the best part of our trip. We worked in the Gingerbread house for breakfast 7:30-11:30. It was so much fun. The other volunteers are tremendous. We met one gentleman from Chesire England who comes here for like 3 weeks at a time and volunteers M,W&F. WOW!! We were tasked with carrying trays and seating people and cleaning up. What a fun job. I got to talk to the kids and parents and give them a morning smile. When breakfast was done we cleaned tables and chairs with sanitizer and were very sad our time at such an inspiring was coming to an end. Both my daughter an I were so touched by what we saw that we will definetly be back. I wish it could be sooner but it will have to wait until our next trip, I don't know when that will be.
Again I just want to thank you for introducing us to The Village it really touched us!!

I and a group of folks did the same thing, working breakfast at the Gingerbread House when we were at WDW in December (for DISapalooza). I totally agree; it was one of the highlights of my trip. It really is amazing watching these families, and the "regular" folks at GKTW. Makes me very grateful. I'll definitely do it again.
