Tomorrow will be the one year anniversary of my cancer surgery. I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone on the DIS who gave me so much support a year ago. At a time when I didn't want to scare my family by showing how fearful I was, you offered shoulders to cry on. You showed me that cancer isn't a death sentance and encouraged me to fight. I did fight. You helped me to be able to stay very positive through the whole ordeal.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. The CB is my second family and I love you all. Sometimes we may snipe at each other a little, but what family doesn't? I'll always think of this group of people as a very loving community.

Your prayers and pixie dust helped me through a rough time. I'm going strong and hope to be around for many years to "pay it forward". Hope I can be a shoulder to lean on for some of you if you ever need it.

Oh, and by the way, I printed off all your nice responses last year. They are going in my pink scrapbook with all my momentos of the experience. The scrapbook isn't full of bad memories. It's full of love. I'll treasure your notes always.

What a great anniversary, Melissa, and a nice way to celebrate also. I am so glad you were able to lean on us all last year, and in turn, others have subsequently leaned on you for your support, so thank you too. What goes around, comes around. I can't say if I posted on your thread last year, but I want to add that I think most of the folks on the DIS are great, too.

I know when I had some troubles, there were so many of them who contacted me with their support. I appreciate that so much; it was touching.

There are some very good-hearted individuals who post here, no doubt about it.
