One of the trays that went to school. We used Amy's design.

For the party we used Dolly's designs. It doesn't show up too well in the picture but we blinged them up with glitter rather than the crystals.

Thank you again ladies for all of your hard work. Kirstin thoroughly enjoyed her cupcakes and had a blast helping to make the toppers. :goodvibes

Those turned out GREAT! Thanks for posting picks. It is always wonderful to see how our designs turned out. And I love that you were able to use all of the designs we made for you.

That's it I NEED one of those cupcake stands--often I've been tempted to get one and tell myself no,,but NOW I have to get one! Dolly and Amy Great work gals!

ADORABLE!!!
When you make the cupcake toppers...do you only do 1 side or do you put a design on each side?
Thank you!

They all look GREAT! Thank you so much for coming back and sharing the end result. It is always a thrill to see the designs 'in action'.

I am glad I was able to help!

I put a design on both sides so that you can sandwich a toothpick, lollipop stick or whatever you use to stick the topper into the cupcake. You don't want to see it stuck to the backside of one circle.

Ok, thanks...that is what I was thinking but just wanted to make sure.
What kind of adhesive works best with lollipop sticks or something similiar?

If you are making them, definitely stick another piece of paper on the back!

K wanted to do the crafting and was SO proud of how they turned out, I was not about to tell her she had to put another flower punch paper on the back and get it lined up with the one on the front of the stick.

Kirstin used good ole elmers glue and it seemed to work fine.

I have used double sided scotch tape and scrapbooking squares and they both worked well. I worry about the glue running the ink colors while it is wet before it dries.

If anyone wants to make a cup cake stand out of cake boards and dummy cakes/soup cans...here is a website with lots off great directions and pics for how to make it using cake boards and cake dummies or you could even use soup cans:

The nice thing is that you can personalize it to match your party, reuse it over and over by changing out the colors and you don't have to buy a metal stand. She wraps her tier seperators with ribbon but you could also cover it with scrapbook paper.
