I just wanted to take a moment to thank Pete and everyone else for having the ABD guide on the podcast this week. Her segment was, of course, fascinating. But the part of the show that I enjoyed the most were the times that she chimed in during the News/Housekeeping segment. Her insights on Fastpass, guests and many other things were some of the most enjoyable and informative moments I have ever heard on the Dis. (I also wondered whether she might get in trouble for a few of her comments, but never mind that...)

I know you probably won't want to do this very often, to keep the professional distance from the subject you are covering. But I would love to hear more of these, a few times a year. It's such a great perspective to get these tidbits from someone who is on the front line. Thank you for one of my favorite podcasts!

- Erin

P.S. I'm also very much enjoying the top-ten threads segment.

It was very exciting to have Courtney on the Podcast.

We think she's pretty cool.:thumbsup2

We (and Courtney) had to receive special permission in order to have an active Disney Cast Member on our show.

This was a very special circumstance and we're lucky to have had the opportunity.

That does not surprise me! The whole time she was on I was thinking, "How in the world did Disney say yes to this??" But it was truly awesome, and thank you so much for taking the extra effort to have her on.

Totally agree, I loved hearing Courtney on the show and wow, she fit right in like she'd be on many times before. I loved hearing her talk about being an ABD guide and also her other comments and about being a Jungle boat driver.
Very, very cool that you were able to have her on the show.

PS. If you are thinking "special guest" again, I enjoyed Jason Garcia, he was really interesting to hear from.

I loved hearing her on the show as well. I love hearing all about ABD even though it's way out of my budget right now. If I ever hit the lotto or inherit a lot of money, I'm definitely taking an ABD trip!

Great show and I enjoyed it.

But why would the DIS need permission to have Courtney on the show? As an independent show, why can't you do what you wish? It seems that Courtney would be the only one who should have been concerned.

So informative and engaging! Disney had to give permission for her to be on the podcast eh? THEY should be thrilled that she was on YOUR venue! She was like an unpaid commercial for them.

Hope she gets permission again!

Courtneydid not ask to be on the Podcast.

We asked Disney's permission to have Courtney on the show.

We thought she added a unique and interesting perspective.

Disney granted us (and Courtney) that permission.

I really enjoyed the ABD segment with Courtney, too. I'm currently saving up for a vacation to Italy, and hearing her talk about being an Adventure Guide made me even more excited. Having a CM on the show was a really fun addition. Great job! :thumbsup2

I'm sure it wasn't easy to get Disney to grant that permission. I suspect that they are very, very careful about letting non-PR types speak to the public.

After seeing and listening to Courtney a few weeks here in NJ, then again on your show, I can see why Disney would let her represent them on your show. She is an awesome ambassador for Disney and her love of her job and people is infectious.:thumbsup2

Courtney was a wonderful addition to the show. She had me looking for my luggage before she even finished. Thanks for bringing her on. Usually I'm disappointed if Pete isn't the "star" of the show, but I'll gladly settle for spotlight stealers like Courtney anytime! Bravo!

Was just scanning the post titles to see if there was an open topic on the podcast w/ Courtney. She was FANTASTIC. I think the podcast crew must've realized that - as glowing as their reports always are about the ABD guides - having one "in the flesh" on the show to speak for herself would be impressive. Boy, was she! She was incredibly well-spoken and obviously very intelligent, sharp, friendly, confident, etc. In all honesty, for the first time I can say I would book an ABD trip with total confidence. She sold it!
So - thanks very much for having her on. And hope she's your Italy trip guide in May!
