I became a member shortly after booking my December trip. My airfare (SW) was 570.00 for DW and I. I was actually happy with this fare because when we went in March, booking through a TA, I spent 650.00 for airfare.
The first tip I followed ... book one way trips. So I changed my reservations. Second tip: download Ding! Done. Well, my flight down dropped by $4.00. No alot of money, but enough to buy a Mickey Rice Krispy treat. Flight back dropped by $52.00. Well, that is enough to turn your head. Then nothing happened and I was getting discouraged because I was reading all these great fares people were getting. Then, a Ding fare came in for my flight down: $49.00! And my fare back dropped to $69.00! So, after making all those changes, my total cost is now $248.00.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thats great we have had great success with SW and can afford to fly more offend because of just those 2 small tips you stated.I have so many credits right now from our last week trip and our upcoming Dec trip that we will be flying on credits for our June trip.

I'm like you are if I can get it at around $250 RT I'm happy with that price .So when we get it down to the $112 RT from this past trip I'm just overly estatic.
