I can assume you are talking about global warming. The news that came out these past few days is stunning. People have been trying to change my mind for the past 10 years. We finally have someone who is willing to admit that the information we have been given has been false. I find that news.

Usually I would disagree with your beware the evil corporate agenda because you can CHOOSE not to buy a companies product but in this situation you can't.

I'm really not an evil corporation person and agree that everyone can choose, for the most part, which companies to patronize. I am more worried about the inherent conflict of interest that comes from a multinational conglomerate owning a network broadcasting company. If global warming is going to be profitable for the parent company how quick will the network be to present contradictory information?

It is the same conflict of interest that comes from drug companies paying for so much medical research. It isn't that much of a surprise when a drug as opposed to change in diet or lifestyle is the recommended prescription.

It isn't that you can't get good, unbiased data from either source, but you have to take both conflicts into account when you are making what I hope is an informed decision.

I have read several different 'news' sources of this information other than what the OP posted.

I will certainly not try to change your mind. My purpose for reading this thread was to see the different reactions.
