Fuzzy Disney Packing

I inadvertently started pre-packing this weekend!

Huh?!

That's right - "inadvertently" and "PRE-packing."

I was getting things together for this coming weekend, but had to first determine what I'd want to wear in August. Not like I won't be doing laundry between now and then, but it would be nice to not be wearing the same outfits in pics from two different trips, right?

So, while nothing's actually been placed in a suitcase, I have a mental picture of what I plan to bring and wear in August!

I started fuzzy packing months ago V (as I am sure T has too).

Heck catch up there girlfriend, I have started actual packing, the guest room is my staging area, my bags, etc have taken that room over.

And the less material there is - the MORE expensive they are

I am so glad someone else thinks of that besides me! I always end up picking up a few new tops just to wear for the trip. I have been mentally packing for weeks!!!

I might be inclined to follow you over to AC that night! I wanna see the fireworks from the Poly ( never have) but I also wanna spend as much time in AC as I can , esp if it's closing. I know me & Z are headed there at least once this trip and I plan to go solo at least once.

Sure, come to AC! Isn't it sad? I know PI isn't as popular as it used to be, but still...

And is PI part of the property they'll be using for the Four Seasons, etc.

I just don't get it and I ain't happy about it.

We may skip the fireworks (AFTER a Lapu, of course) and head over there. I was thinking that since we're going to be at the Poly, we'll just drive there, have dinner and a drink, leave Michael at the Neverland club and catch a bus to PI and back...That's the plan of the moment anyway...

I almost forgot...

KC gets free web hosting through his job so I asked if he could put up a new Focker Fest page for us... he said YES!

So send me pics everyone! I want to be able to recognize all of you when we get there...so send send send!!!!

Hmmm...I'll have to find a better picture than the one I gave to Michelle...Give me some time...

A mental picture is just as good as it actually BEING in the suitcase. I think. The only thing I've got packed is my box of goodies for the owner's locker. HOWEVER, since Michael has to start wearing, GASP , uniforms for school this year, I could have him packed in a minute and still be fully ready for the morning after we return - first day of school...

I bought a new suit from Lands End...a top and swim shorts. Anyone have swim shorts?? I wonder how they'll look....Of course they look great on the leggy 5'-11" model in the catalog...but how about 5'-2" and chubby??

Nope. Wht I envision and what actually works in suitcases are comepltely different, so I've stopped trying to envision!

Well you can all relax, I won't be switching resorts. I called CRO this morning to price things out and all the discounted rooms at WL and AKL are gone. They just released the code this morning too.

Sorry, but YAY! You were gonna leave us! (Ok, I'd probably leave for WL too if the price was right....but still!)

My fav one to wear to water parks are like that, it's like a pair of running shorts.

My money is on that she already has them in ziplocks and the ziplocks are labeled with what Day it is to be worn.

I got a swim suit with board shorts, as opposed to Mo's running shorts.... Coming from a tall chubby chick, I think I like it better than the granny skirt.

Ooh... nope, I forgot that part! But thanks for the reminder ... gotta hit Dollar Tree this weekend for a supply of ziplocs!

Thanks for the reminder. I keep forgetting to grab them at the Dollar Tree. I want some of the 2 gal. ones for my stuff. I am more than a 1 gallon gal.
My ds has a uniform also. We get back the night before dd has to start school and she doesn't have a uniform. I will was the outfit she wants to wear before we leave WDW and she will decide she wants a totally different one. Lucky for me she knows how to operate the washer.

Well my spreadsheet must have worked. Not-Nana's mom came over and talked to me yesterday. She even complemented me on the plans for the trip.

OK, here's question. Even in May I only wore tank tops to the parks. I bought two cute t-shirts on disneyshopping the other day, but do any of you ever wear sleeves in August? AND now I am realizing that I need more tank tops. And I'm picky - they have to be long. I love Eddie Bauer's, but they closed the stores in both the malls here.

Suggestions? Thoughts?

Otherwise, I've not even thought of packing for WDW. I have a 17 day trip to the Midwest to get through first. Including a wedding. For which I have no clothes for the boys. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I wear mostly tanks in August CE (WDW is the ONLY place I wear them). I wear a couple of T's that I will wear in the evening, but during the day it is tanks or bathing suit

I was in the same dilemma. I just ordered a couple of more tanks online from Kohl's. I hate to spend a ton of money on them since I only wear them once a year.

Proper redneck summer wedding apparel for 6 year old boys is khaki or navy shorts ( the kind you wear for school uniforms ) and a polo style shirt ( grease stain is optional ). I would put my ds who is 4 in his school uniform for something like this.
