TF Green to Melbourne, FL next Thurs

DH just informed me he's flying to FL next Thurs to get his mother. She lives in Melbourne
DH wants to fly out of TF Green in Providence, RI.
Which would be direct? Delta or Southwest? he's never flown Southwest
Would it be easier to fly into Orlando or Melbourne?
Please help him find a flight because I dont even want him going! Seems it's always DH who has to get her - never his 2 brothers or sister

When I looked into flying into Melbourne in order to be closer to Vero Beach, I believe that for the most part, the Delta flights out of TFGreen all stopped in Atlanta. I could be mistaken though. I would think it would be easier to have a stop rather than drive from MCO to Melbourne. I guess it might depend on what airfare you got. I think it was going to cost me a fair amount more than flying into MCO but then I would have had to rent a car. What did I decide? To stay at BCV instead!!!
