I just got a reply back from my TA with the answers to some questions I had

the biggest one was about testing--I thought that testing was a done deal (no more testing either coming or going)

but she told me that cruises to europe you still needed to test--

does anyone have any advice on this--

if you still need to test looks like we wont be sailing next year like we were hoping--

I suppose I could still book it and see how things go-- I could cancel before pentalies start --I hate though having everything on hold--just waiting

the cruise isnt till next sept and so much can happen between now the then

thanks for any tips or advice

It's too early to tell for next year. This year testing stops mid September for most ships, and in November for the Magic--after the Bermuda cruises. We have a Europe cruise booked for next August and hopefully no testing will be required.

One of the cruise vloggers I follow is on part two of a B2B on the Royal Princess in Alaska. No issues last week. This week, a covid spike that prompted a return to masks, and social distancing and quarantines.
So moving forward, who knows. Not that DIS boards allow us to speculate, but looking backward, the cleaning protocols used today on cruise ships have their roots in the norovirus outbreaks of the early 2000's. Testing could just become a routine part of cruising.
