My husband and I have a 5 and 8 year old. We are going to Epcot Sunday of Presidents Day weekend so don’t anticipate much for 4th safe day FPS being available. We have a FP for Frozen and going to do Soarin after our 8am Garden Grill Breakfast.

I think our only realistic option for TT (waiting more than 20-30min isn’t an option for our inpatient 5 year old). But was thinking my husband and 8 year old could do TT single rider. Is there somewhere I could wait by the exit to where they get off the ride so if my 8 year old goes before my husband, I can find my son at the exit? I have read they may not even get split up but incase they do....

Maybe not a good idea https://www.google.com/amp/www.wdwi...child-molestation-on-test-track-at-epcot/amp/

I wouldn't do single rider for a kid that young - your 5 year old might like it too.

I understand that this can be a concern, but frankly this can happen at any time and at any place. It can be the person sitting next to your child in church, in a show or on a ride. It can happen in a split second while waiting on line. It happened to me sitting on my commuter train years ago (boy was the man surprised when I loudly told him to remove his hand from my leg or he would lose it!). Teach your kids what to do in case someone does something inappropriate and take reasonable precautions, but don't be afraid to live life.

I think he would like it too. Just think the line will be well over an hour if CL is 9/10 like they are projecting for Feb 18th. No way any of us will want to wait that long.

Yeah, I saw that. Parent was even there. Unfortunately, could happen on any ride.

Exactly. Don't blame Test Track for that, seriously. That can happen anytime, anywhere.

Yes, you can wait for him at the exit. I would have zero problems sending an 8 year old through single rider. I also wouldn't give up on the idea of same day FP+, you very well may be able to get one.

Who is blaming test track? And why do you feel you can phrase it that way? I was just providing the original poster with information in case she didn't have it so she can make a fully informed decision. She already had the information so she's made her decision which is best for her family under her own circumstances. There are some parents who after reading that would change their mind or be grateful to have additional information. That doesn't mean her decision isn't still valid and that of a responsible parent..it is. You are the one casting things in a negative light not me.

Yes, you can wait by the exit in the activity area, but I’d still look for a 4th FP for two (and then another two if you can and your 5yo would ride without a long wait.) You never know— you may luck out.
Single rider can be your back up. There’s a lot of fun stuff to do in the exit area for your 5yo, and your husband can text you when your child is boarding the ride if they don’t get in the same car. Then you can be watching the exit for your 8yo.

My DS and I did single rider at TT when he was 7 and we were split up (he was in a car in front of me). When you exit the ride and start walking toward the exit, there is an "exit" sign right there. That was our agreed upon meeting spot - just a suggestion if your DH and DS want to come up with a place to meet at the end. You and your 5-year old can also go through the gift shop, through the interactive exit area and right past the photopass display area. The ramp leading up to the TT exit is right there. If a CM happens to not let you up the ramp into the exit area, you can always wait at the bottom of the ramp. If your older son happens to start walking down that ramp after exiting the ride without waiting for DH, he will see you at the bottom of the ramp.

This is very helpful; exactly what I was looking for!

Thank you!

Fwiw, all 5 year olds are impatient. Especially as he learns that rides are fun and are at the end of waits, it can be a useful tool to learn patience. Waiting in lines at Disney was one of the main ways we helped my son learn to be OK when bored. :)

An hour for test track isn’t fun, but it’s a fun sort of ride and he might like it enough to be worth it.

He gets his impatience from his mother ;). I don’t want to wait an hour either, ha!
