Test Track - something near for the little ones

Hi,

My daughter is under the height requirements for test track, we plan to utilise the rider swap but I don't want to just be waiting around out the front of the ride with her (seems a bit unfair)

At Soarin' we can obviously do the boat ride while we wait and then Nemo.

But I was wondering what was around Test Track to keep her entertained.

Many thanks in advance.

There is a play area at the exit of Mission Space.

Also a bit of play area at the exit of Test Track. Also potentially the playground will still be setup over there for Flower and Garden? I'm not sure based on your dates.... it cuts it close but potentially!

Well, the closest ride is Mission Space, but I don't think she'll make height on that either...however, if you go in the gift shop at the exit, there is a post-show on that ride called the Training Lab or something, which has some space related video games to play. There is a competetive team game too that people queue up for. It's usually not crowded as most people seem to just walk out.

Also, if you enter the exit of Test Track (this is a "gift shop" too but for people buying Chevrolets!) there are design a car kiosks (like you do before riding) and a game you can play with your designed car, like a top-down driving game that everyone stands around.

If those don't appeal, Innoventions East isn't all that far away either.

away is Innoventions though I think the one on the other side is better for younger kids. You could go shopping, watch the water fountain show and visit Club Cool for some free drinks from around the world.

thank you very much that has given us some things to try out.

:thumbsup2

The Fountain show goes off every fifteen minutes so that's something to think about. Or, go over to Mexico for that boat ride. Or, just for something for a snack. If Off Kilter is performing, go to Canada.

Or, just let her play right in front of the old Odyssey building since there's walkway there and not very many people. Check out right in front of the bathrooms.

I once got left in charge of my best friend's DS4 and DS7 while she rode TT. Innoventions was closed so I took them to Mexico (around the side path by Odyssey pavilion). The 7-year-old wasn't thrilled, but the 4-year-old loved it. It has a "Where's Waldo?" aspect to it.

My 4 year old nephew & I must have ridden the 3 caballeros boat ride in Mexico 7 or 8 times in a row while my sister & her hubs took the oldest on test track. He loved it.

Not sure about this but I thought there was a water play area outside of TT that looked like a car wash?? :confused3 I haven't been since TT was rehabbed maybe that is gone. There also was an ice cream stand near there you could buy her a cold treat. Check the Steve Soares website for entertainment because you might be able to catch a Jammitors show nearby, they are fun!

You don't want to go that far...just play in the exit of Test Track or Mission Space. Most don't realize there is a small playground/climbing area tucked in the exit (inside building) of Mission Space. I never noticed it...until my 3.5 yo found it last December.

Not sure how close your little one is to the height requirement. Mine was about an inch off last year. She didn't get to ride but they gave her a "driver's permit" to keep until she is tall enough. Basically a fast pass for all if us any time in the future. She still remembers it.
