Termite question

My mom's house has some termite damage on the attached garage. We had an exterminator give us an estimate and he came back with $3500 to do around the perimeter of thewhole house. He said he digs down about 4 inches and puts some chemicals and it's guaranteed for 10 years. We'll get two more estimates but has anyone had this done? Is this a good price? I think the linear footage of the house is around 200'. Thanks!

We had to have a board replaced on the front of the house (not sure what it is called) and that cost about $1,200. It ran the whole width of the house.
