If you bring your own car and park at the cruise terminal, do you have to pay for parking there? Also what time is the earliest time you can board the ship. Do you think it is cheaper to rent a car for transportation for three people, or do the cruise transers?

Thanks for the help.

Yes, parking is available at the port. It is a gated, fenced, secured lot operated by the Canaveral Port Authority. The fees are $8/day, payable in advance. ($24 for the 3-day cruise, $32 for the 4-day cruise, $56 for the 7-day cruise.) VISA, MasterCard, and cash are accepted. If your car is over 20 feet long, you will be charged double these rates.

Dave,

You mentioned that MC & Visa are accepted for parking. Is this new? I know when we met my parents down there on our last cruise (retirees get to travel for months at a time) cash was required. Also friends did a car trip this summer that ended with a cruise and cash was the only thing accepted.

BTW-both reported no problems from a security standpoint bartoscowabunga.
