I'm sure there are other threads about these two, but I haven't really searched much for them,,,,I've never eaten at either just Yakatori House,,,and loved it. Ive gotten my boyfriend more into sushi recently, and think that his nephew would even enjoy trying it.

What is the difference between these two restaurants, and which do you recommend? I'd love to hear everyone's experiences!

Teppen Edo is a restaurant where the cook prepares the food in front of you table side. It is very entertaining and found the food to be very good. There is some sushi that can be ordered. Also, you will sit with others at the table that you may not know.

At the Tokyo Dining it is much more quiet. You have your own table and they have a very expansive list of sushi that is available. Also, the food is not prepared in front of you. As for the food I couldn't tell you. I have never eaten at this restaurant but it does look very nice and I did look at the menu.

We went to Teppan Edo before the rehab (when it was called Teppenyaki) 5 or 6 times and really enjoyed the experience. It's fun to watch the chefs perform and cook. The tables seat about 6, so you can be seated with other parties, which can be fun or awkward, depending on how social you are. The menu is fairly small - for the most part, you just pick your protein and then they throw in rice and veggies. It's all really very tasty!

It was novel and tasty before, but now I live in a city that has a couple restaurants similar to this concept, so now it's just tasty.

This trip, we're going to try Tokyo Dining for something different. The menu seems much more varied and it will allow my wife to get some yummy sushi (no thank you!). It's much more of a "traditional" Japanese restaurant.

If we have time, we also want to try out Yakitori House for the first time. We've gotten much more into Japanese food since the last time we visited in 2005.

Have fun choosing, and be sure to check out the menus on allears.net!

I haven't tried Tepan Edo, but I love Tokyo Dining! We went in June and it was the highlight of 15 days on the DDP. We aren't Sushi eaters, but loved Tempura and teryiaki steak, the service was impeccable and the view we had of the World Showcase was amazing. Went back in October and it was just as wonderful. I'll also add, its very reasonable, we weren't on the DDP in October and it was one of our more reasonable meals.

To me its a wonderful atmosphere, they are very attentive and it gives you a taste of Japanese culture.

So to say the least, I highly recommend it!

We love tokyo dining. EVerything is so fresh and the menu is nice sushi lovers and non sushi lovers alike. Nice and quiet in there- great reprieve from loud disney restaurants with too much bad food.
