Was planning to eat here for lunch but now may have to change to dinner due to itinerary changes.... obviously the prices go up for dinner but was wondering if the salad is still included with dinner? Had read that there were some recent menu changes but can't remember what people said.

Also, how would you describe the children's portions? I have an 8 and 11 year old.

Thanks so much.
:D

Well, I found out that lunch & dinner prices are now the same so that won't make a difference and salad is NOT included with either. You have to order it separately. I also learned that you can buy the dressing down in the shop. Mmmmmmm. ;)

They're under new management (not owned by Disney) and the salads are no longer included in the price of the entree.

I've also heard that the lunch and dinner menus have the same prices now.

We were there in December/January- I noticed that the salad is a la carte, but we used our AP discount for our meal, so I'm not sure about the lunch/dinner prices.

I hope that this helps.

We ate there on Friday. Food was excellent. Salada were not included but the portions were a good size. The favorite of the table was the fillet though. One suggestion, if you want shrimp and fillet, share with your "date", they don't have that combo but that is what my parent's did with their meal. When they cook it, shrimp is done first then chicken then fillet. So they ate an "app" of shrimp then shared fillet. Our chef was funny and very entertaining. They treated our DD very well, even giving her special chopsticks to try.

We just asked our kids DS(9) DD(12) what is their favorite Disney restaurant and both immediately said the one in Japan where they cook at the table - Teppanyaki. Children portions were good - but not huge if you have a big eater.

Do you remember what the prices were now that they have changed? This is one of our family's "must do" meals at Disney!

I kept the receipt. Tenderloin was 29.99, Shrimp was 22.99, Chicken/Shrimp combo was 23.99 (or reversed) The child's Donald dinner was 6.99. Our bill for a group of 6 adults, 1 child was about 208.56 incl tax with 3 beers, 4 soft drinks, 3 milks and no apps.
there was something printed on the menu about a "service charge for parties of 8" Gratuity and tax not included. But we had 8 (the 1 yr old did not order dinner but ate some of the other child's meal because it was huge!) and they did not charge us the service charge whatever that was.

Thanks alot dreamalittledream for the update on the prices. It will help alot in budget planning. Since the same price is charged for lunch and dinner, we might rethink our PS meal times.

OMG -- I can't believe the new Teppanyaki prices. We ate lunch there in May and again in July, and both times our bill including tip was around $100. We did have the 10% AP discount. This was for two fillets, two steaks, a child's meal, five drinks and an order of sushi. And we had salads, too.

I've gotta agree with tar heel. DS and I met for lunch there in May, $33 for the both of us, including tip. Granted, I had the AP 10%, but DS is 20 yo, big eater, and we thought it was the best deal by far of the trip. No more, I guess!

Dumb question, but is the AP disc the same as what a Florida Resident annual ticket holder has? My parents live in Fla and have their season passes but we did not use any disc from them. This is only their 1st year with them. I would be bummed if we could have saved a little on the dinner.

Does anyone know if they have chicken fingers or burgers for the kids? My ds probably won't eat the steak or grilled chicken. Thanks.

Sorry, I don't think they did. I think there was only 2 choices and one was the chicken we ordered. That is why the 1 yr old did not order a dinner, they brought something for her to eat.

You could call them directly and see if they have an alternate though. WDW Dine should be able to give you a phone number.

How old is he? Could you feed him first from a counter service place? Possibly get him desert there? Would he sit thru a meal with you? It is very entertaining to watch the chef cook.

Our ds was 5 the first time we took him here and I thought he wouldn't eat anything but the chef actually had him so entertained that he tried the zuchini and found that he loves them. Still does. This was the beginning of trying different foods. It would probably be worth a try.

dreamalittledream -- I don't know about the FL discount, but the AP discount is only at weekday lunches.
