Is Teppan Edo a restaurant where the food is cooked at the table? Thank-you

Yes it is. We are trying it for the first time in a couple weeks.

Yes it is. The food is tasty. The portions are not really big but okay. We were not on the dining plan and found it to be a bit expensive for the amount of food you get. I think there are four tables in a room, each with it's own chef. Ours wasn't very much of a showman but people seemed to be enjoying themselves at the other tables. Okay...so I just gave you more info than you needed!

Thanks for the informationand mickey916, there's no such thing as too much info when it comes to Disney!

You're welcome and, by the way, you're right on two counts - no such thing as too much Disney info and the tp definitely goes over the top!

This is something that brings out the OCD in me. I've turned the tp at people's houses so that it faces the "right" way.

Yes - they have hibachi grills - not sure if you are aware, but you may have to sit with another family - the tables sit 8 and if there is room, they will sit others with you as well.

Wasn't sure how I would like this, but it turned out fine and we enjoyed the family that we sat with.

Great review, thanks!

Thanks for the heads up! I'll ask my daughter and niece if this is ok with them. it's fine with me but you know teenagers can be funny about things sometimes.

We thought Teppan Edo was mediocre, which was too bad, as I've really wanted to try this restaurant for several trips but saved it for free dining. Our chef wasn't much of a showman, but I think we were a hard table. Early 30's couple with 6 yr old boy who wouldn't eat anything and 4 year old girl who slept the entire time, young 20's couple who made out the whole time (get a room... oops, on DDP so I guess they already had one!), and DD16 and me. NOT the best tablemates! The food was typical of teppan/hibachi style & quality we can get in Portland, ME, but up here the meal includes soup and salad, unlike at TE, for similar if not cheaper prices. The bright spot of the meal was the green tea pudding for dessert! DD ordered it, I ordered the chocolate ginger cake. Found the cake flat and tasteless, but the pudding was like a wonderful flan... delish! It's really the only reason we'd go back.
