The first 2 days of my trip will be the regular dining plan. The next 5 will be deluxe. I'm trying to decide which dinner I should book for the regular dining (no appetizer) and which will be whole hog. :rotfl::laughing:

If sushi is considered a DxDP approved appetizer, I think the winner will be Teppan Edo but if not, I need help!

Help!

As I recall, sushi is not included as an appetizer at Teppan Edo on the deluxe plan. I would do San Angel on the deluxe and Teppan Edo on the regular plan.

Teppan Edo is definitely one of my favs when it comes to restaurants. We usually do the hibachi tables and I'm not sure if sushi is on the menu. I know they do have other appetizers though. As for San Angel, except for the chips and salsa, you couldn't pay me to eat there. I've tried a couple of times, but each time the food has been disgusting. Just my opinion though, so don't take it to heart if you really want to try it. I would recommend every other restaurant in World Showcase first though, including either Italian place, Nine Dragons/China, or the Rose and Crown/UK.

Well that's quite a mixed response. Hmmm. We're trying San Angel because it's one of the few that we have not done before in WS. I was thinking that they give you chips and salsa before the meal so maybe that's a good appetizer if I waited until Teppan Edo to do the deluxe meal? But if not sushi at Teppan Edo, I guess we could try the Tuna Sensation? Has anyone tried that? Or the Tempura?

San Angel Inn has one of my favorite appetizers, not only in Disney, but anywhere. I love Mexican food and the Tostadas de Tinga are deeeeeeeelicious, when I've done the DxDDP I've ordered them as my app and entree because they were so good. For me, I'd go to SAI with the DxDDP.

I am not even a huge tortilla soup fan and I absolutely LOVED it at San Angel!

I love San Angel Inn and we make it a point to eat there each trip. I also enjoy Teppan Edo, but we found it pricier overall so it's a more infrequent indulgence. Honestly, I like PP suggestion of doing San Angel on deluxe and Teppan on regular -- might as well ensure you get the food you want for the price you love ;-)

Thanks! We booked Teppan Edo for the regular dining meal and San Angel for deluxe dining. I appreciate the feedback.
